It's all symbolic. You start off with your natal placements, and take a day after your birthday to be the progressed placements for your first birthday. Count forwards a day for a year till you get to your age. Say you were born on 5th June 1980 at noon. On your natal chart your Sun is at 14* Gemini 57'. Today is your 28th birthday. If I've counted forward correctly in the ephemeris your Progressed Sun is at 11* Cancer 41'. It doesn't mean you are now a Cancer, but where it sits in your chart and the aspects it makes to natal planets (none that I can spot here) can be given an interpretation that symbolises something about how you feel now 28 years after your arrival on the planet. You can do this for all the planets, but the Moon is calculated differently because of the speed it moves through the signs. It goes roughly a degree a month. i don't understand progressions either, but this popped out at me when i checked the progressions for the day i met this guy i like. my progressed AC was conjunct his progressed moon by less that a degree. so, for example, how would you interpret that? was i "behaving" his emotions for him?IP: Logged |
