Sesquiquadrate ~> itchy knickers.

My natal chart contains the delightful combo of Moon CNJ Pluto Sesquiquadrate Mars. Bit of temper.

Also, it seems I have Mercury Sesquiquadrate Uranus. That's probably my irrational moments. My maternal line is full of slightly unhinged individuals so it is seeping through there. Also a bit sharp of tongue. Most of the time it is better to keep your gob shut, but it can be hard, see Pluto/Mars above.

Quintile ~> creative gifts.

On my chart that is Mars Quintile Jupiter CNJ Neptune. Poor old Jupiter/Neptune is getting a bit of a hammering on my chart from some heavy players so Mars gives it some needed inspiration. Maybe I should do more with it. I've got a degree in Philosophy though. That's something, modest maybe, but it's something. Especially if you come from the @rse-end of nowhere and were expected to work in a shoe shop at age 14.

Thanks Blue Moon and Azalaksh! How do you guys feel about the quincunx? Do you love it? Hate it? Can't detect its effects? What say you?

GG ~

Got Quincunx?? Yea verily - 3 of them
Don't mind them now, but doubtless when I was younger and less aware they were a definite monkey wrench in the works, and I daresay I still get hits to them that prove difficult and produce unanticipated reactions in me.....

I have Sun quine Moon with 20 minutes of orb, Pluto quine Moon 2 degrees orb, and Neptune quine Moon about 2.5 degrees orb.
If I wanted, I could also toss in Sun and Neptune quine MC, and NN quine Asc.

The trick is to practice blending these energies, instead of either: 1) the seesaw back and forth, between one side or the other taking the wheel, or 2) the clash/refusal to work together while both parties go to their corners and nothing gets done. The Sun/Moon inconjunct can still be a troublemaker, but I consciously drive now (with numerous exceptions ) and allow the Sun his part and the Moon her part in the proceedings, and take the best of both worlds.....

Wow, sounds like a bit of work! How about in synastry? How do you handle them? Also, how does your natal "quines" show up in your relationships?

I don't use any of the ones above. Only 30 degrees each.
A Qunicunx (or inconjunct) in transits is not the best unless you are using the outer (slower moving) planets. But better than a square.

Can someone please explain inconjunct to me? I can't find any really good explanation of it. Also what are those other things in the astro.com tables where it looks like a trine or a square, only it has something that looks like an apostrophe beside it? I don't know what each of them stands for...

I think you mean Sesi-Quadrate. Looks silly, therefore never looked at it or use it. Just do a search on inconjunct/quincunx, you are likely to find lots of info. There are some books just devoted to aspects, which may be of use to you.

Thanks! I think I kind of get the inconjunct idea now...

But what does this kind of thing mean? The apostrophes? I can't find any explanation of this anywhere...

Good this page, Zala

http://www.adze.com/Classroom/aspects.html

Of the Quintile:

"unusual sexual energy" Er, no comment

"Cosmic will seems to be at play here, so if creative things aren't happening, then look for destruction."

Spot on, see above. It does tie in strongly with other aspects on my chart.

I know what you mean, I think the apostrophes are a program error. They even show up in empty boxes too.

GG ~

No, the apostrophes aren't a programming error or phantom punctuation

Synastry / Solar Return charts - aspect tables:

' ~ The apostrophe shown with some aspects of the additional tables marks those aspects which have a large orb (above 50% of maximum orb), and which should probably be ignored. By doubling the number of planets, the probability of an aspect is increased, and orbs should be reduced accordingly. This is true for any chart which is the result of a combination of two different charts.

Interesting... I usually ignore them anyway because I didn't know what they meant. Ok so in the example I posted, they're saying that even 5d16m is too wide for the Venus trine moon??
