Is it true that these are significant in synastry? What does it mean if they appear frequently in a synastry chart and what has been your experience of them?

You've got two energies with nothing in common. It would need to be looked at in the context of the chart, but if there were a lot in one synastry I would hope to see some easy-flowing aspects to ease things out.
