Say you have a favourite song... would there be any effective way of determining the synastry between the song and you?I've always loved the song 'Nancy Boy' by Placebo. I'm listening to it now and it just has everything. I LOVE IT. I like their other songs too, but this one just gets me on a whole different level. All I can come up with so far is the synastry between me and the songwriter and we have Mars conjunct Moon (in Scorpio), and his Sun opposite my Venus. Also the song itself seems to get my Sun (Taurus) opposite Uranus (Scorpio) aspect somehow... the songwriter does have an Aquarius moon so it could be that. Anyone else experience anything like this?

You can draw up a chart of the song, but of course you'd have to find it's birthdate and time and place of birth... which can be very hard if you're not the songwriter.IP: Logged |

GemI too love music and some songs appeal to me vastly more than others..... I think it is obvious in our intrinsic make-up, especially astrologially speaking, as to whether we have to have music, absolutely love music, or just acknowledge it as background noise or mood setting stimulus.. As to the question of a particular song? Who is to say? Maybe a reflection of time, maybe a moment in space........maybe nothing other than one individual (the artist/musicians communicating with someone who is willing to be receptive...) I think my Pisces Sun and my Taurus Moon will not let me away from music, anyway... Intersting topic! T~~~ IP: Logged |

Interesting points.I think simply because I'm a Taurus (in the fifth house) I'll always love music! It could also be that a song reflects the transits that the individual songwriter was having at the time... and this could feed back into the listener's natal chart or transits in a way?? Some songs that I used to like, I don't like so much anymore - so these could be "transit" songs... IP: Logged |
