how do you explain when a twin dies and the other lives? depending this on if theyre only born mins apart....a big difference in birth time is self explanatory. you would think, they'd pass away around the same time, in the same way?

No, they may not pass at the same time in the same manner.

In my opinion, its part free will and part fate. They may have been born at approximately the same time, but their lifestyle decisions, living environments, and working environments will have been different. They could have been similar, but they will not be identical.

For example:

Natally, Mars opposition Saturn may indicate problems with the skin. It also could express in other ways, but skin problems is one possibility. One twin could have had bad acne and the other one who didn't practice sun smart behaviour may have developed Melanoma and passed away.

The energies are similar, inflammation of the skin, but were expressed in different fashions.

Astrology is all about possibilities, not absolutes.

There was a thread on here a while back on twins. Glacus replied and gave some detailed differences on twins born a short time apart. But I can't rembemember who posted it or what was the title of thread, so that's not a helpful observation.

I have great friends whom are twins.

They are in their early 40's and live together, work together and look identical!

They are chalk and cheese in their personalities though!

I was a twin but my twin died inutero (in the womb).

Maybe that explains my gem asc???

My mum never asked what sex my twin was, but I know we weren't identical cos I survived and my twin didn't. Apparently I took most of the nutrients.

Funnily enough my best friend from high school (we're 30 now) and his partner had exactly the same thing happen with their twin sons, his sons were delivered by caesarian at 23 weeks cos one was growing and the other was shrinking, and it was touch and go for a while, but they will be 2 in august and are big fatty fat fats and completely adorable!
I don't know how they cope cos the twin boys have a gorgeous (and extremely talkative) older brother who's just 13 months older!!!

I guess this post is off topic, but its about twins dying anyway- I just wish I had've known mine cos I've always felt something missing, even before I knew I was a twin...

1st house is self, 3rd house is sibling. Of course if they are born at the same time, it shouldnt make a difference.

this is one of the first topics that came up when i started doing charts - my ex-hub is a twin and i found their charts endlessly fascinating compared to the people - they are 20 mins apart. very close in many ways and very dissimilar in others, mainly there attitude towards work (saturn lands in houses 2/3) - one works for the other's company! both are musicians, but one is still focussed on it, working only to meet his financial responsibilities, the other runs the company and that is his main schtick but he still does music, on the side...one is shy, one is goofy and outgoing. they both have neptune conj asc, pluto conj MC, NN conj IC (they are cancers), but the orbs are somewhat different and it does show. there are many parallels in their lives, which i have been able to follow for thirty years (and being family i know the childhood stories too!). this includes the fact that the first twin asked me out first (he was sweet but did not hook me somehow), then i met his brother and we had a long,
uranus/pluto/saturn/neptune-flavoured (very karmic) relationship which ended when pluto hit his asc(and squared mine)! why one and not the other? maybe the orb between their ascendants and mine? (my exhubs is actually a bit wider, but that puts his in sq with my sun, which the other does not!)

i might add that while these guys are both obvious soulmates, and i still am connected to them, they are very obviously different types of soulmates for me! i suspected, in my teens, before i moved to their country, that i would 1)live there and 2) go through a similar musical-chair type relationship with two very close friends(or brothers) though i never actually visualized THEM specifically...our relationships are long-distance now and while my ex-husband and i still have our daughter in common, on the back burner for now...

however i have to agree with those above who point out that what you do with your chart makes all the difference in how your life pans out, and your death too!

That happened to me OzMeg, but I was the mama. I've said before now of the surviving one that he has 'missing twin syndrome', like he has someone else's personality stuck in there as well as his own.

Woah, that's...really interesting, blue moon (condolences on your loss, by the way). Aren't you a Scorp Rising? Do you have Gemini on the cusp of the 8th house natally?

Pardon my nosiness, but I'm a Scorp Rising, too, with Gem in the 8th, (with interesting acitivity in the 8th, as well) and always curious about what manifestations of that could come to pass.

You're right, yes I do, I'd never thought about the Twins being on the cusp of the 8th. But then, so's my Sun.
