I am generally a friendly, social person. When my friends and I go out, I will work the room and talk to anyone and everyone about anything and everything. I will be nice and friendly to anyone who approaches me, because I don't believe in being a snob, and treating a guy poorly based on his appearance. I give everyone a fair chance, and will get to know someone even if I know I'm not interested.

But for the past month, I have been a total B**** towards guys. (Sorry for cursing, but that is the perfect word to descibe me.) A man will approach me and try to have a conversation and I will respond to everything he says with some biting witty remark, borderline insult, meant to be half joking, half serious. The conversation will keep on going for as long as the guy sticks around for the verbal beating. Then when I've finally had it, I'll turn away and give him the, "Why are YOU talking to ME?" attitude. He will eventually get the hint and walk away.

What is wrong with me?? This is SO not me. I am always nice to guys, and make an effort not to make anyone feel rejected. I have also stopped dating completely, and have been taken over by a negative attitude towards love with thoughts of "why bother, I'm just going to be disappointed in the end anyway."
I feel numb, and have stopped believing in love.

I've even gained almost 10 pounds, and have justified it with, "No one's looking anyway!"
And having been drinking a lot more than I used to. I'm actually eating a whole chocolate cake with a beer as I'm writing this.

Why am I so negative lately?
Are there transits that can cause a sudden onset of man-hating and bitchiness? Not to mention loss of interest or hope in love?
And the bitchiness is not attributed to the P-M-S. transit.

Anyone have any experiences similar to this or advice they could share?

These are my current transits.

Transiting Saturn is squaring your Sun, and that can indicate difficulties, hardships, restriction, and limitations with male figures (Sun)
Try not to take things too seriously.....and work on any confidence.......this transit can indicate a time of low confidence and insecurity.........the good thing is that Saturn transit can indicate discipline, structure, being responsible, and being grounded....keeping it real.

Transiting retrograde Jupiter is quincunx your Moon, and that can indicate a time of indulgence, expansion. It can be a time of optimism, enthusiasm. Make sure that you don't overdo things....keep from indulging and overexpanding

Transiting Mars was opposing your Ascendant/conjuncting your Descendant, and that can indicate a time of being an aggressive personality as well as being aggressive with others.......transiting Mars is in your 7th house, and so that can indicate a time of being aggressive in relationships,partnerships........it can be for taking initiative and being passionate in relationships...........stay away from pushy, violent partners.......Mars can be violent, pushy

You say it's been for the past month, which takes you back to your birthday. Check your solar return and see what it shows.

You say it's not you, but it is.

Thank you for your response Glaucus, you hit the nail on the head!

For one, I am definitely overindulging, and the result is the overexpansion of my body! 10 pounds in just one month. I literally can't stop eating! My personality is also very aggressive lately, almost too much so. But my agression is coming in the form of biting sarcasm, which I always regret later. I need to control my words.

I am definitely working on being more practical lately. Maybe that's what's bringing me down. I used to live in the clouds, and I'm being forced to come down and be real.

Nothing against Saturn, but I really hope he moves it along, and stops squaring my sun very soon. Not that I don't LOVE being kicked in the a** everyday!

Kick it, you mean you think the "real" me is this hostile person, and the "nice, social" Gem was just a show for 28 years? I say this with as little sarcasm as possible, cause that actually may have some truth to it, as lately I am more verbal and willing to stand up for things I dislike than I have in the past. I am willing to verbalize to people, if I disagree, and that may come out as hostility.

I am much more forceful in my opinions as well. My personality is much more aggressive now. Maybe this is how I've always been inside, and am just realizing and accepting it enough to let it show.

I just need to work on not being so hostile, and sarcastic I guess. This poor guy on Thursday...he came up to me at a party and the pick up line of choice was, "So what are you drinking?" I replied, "A Cosmo." He then said," What's in it?" I replied, "Alcohol!" Then walked away. I'm such a B****. I hope that's not the real me!

Whats wrong with that? What is also wrong with sarcasm? I found that quite funny.

But really, check your solar return as Sun rules your 1st house of personality.

Darling, you are a picky, critical, and sarcastic biatch!!!

Do you know what this means?

You are moving towards your North-Node - Saturn conjunction in Virgo
It's a good thing! Pop the champagne and enjoy it.

Mars on the Ascendant stands out. If you know anyone with this natally, you will know they can get quite aggressive. If it is a conjunction from the 12th, this might not be obvious, but every now and then it will kick in.

My chart has Mars CNJ NN Square the Ascendant. It's fair to say I can get quite aggressive. But only when I feel provoked. Once I worked with someone who asked if it was the time of the month to which I replied: no I think you are a *censored* all the month round. {I didn't like his homophobic jokes, so don't feel too sorry for him.}

Blue Moon....OUCH! I don't think I would ever have the balls to say that! LOL!

I hate it too when people ask me if it's that time of the month! Like I'm the crazy one...and have no valid justification for feeling the way I do other than hormones. Even though I do get pretty crazy around that time. My ex-husband always told me I have PMDD, and to get some drugs! Instead, we got divorced.

transiting Uranus ( from 8th house) looks to be retrograding towards a square with natal Moon ( in 10th house )
( it does retrograde 'till the natal Moon's position by square .. by november 2008 .. whereas it goes direct again )

Neptune is also backing up by retro movement towards squaring the MC/IC ..
but doesn't quite reach exact by the time it goes direct again ..

Chiron is backing up (retro) to trine natal Moon and natal Pluto
it currently squares theMC/IC axis and is applying to square natal Uranus ..
( trines natal Moon and squares natal Uranus at the same time .. then trines natal Pluto )
then it turns direct again ..

1 month ago .. transiting Mars was at aprox 11 deg Leo ..
so between then and now ..
it's squared natal Venus thru to Mercury and has crossed the Asc/Dsc axis

add transiting Saturn to the mix .. i.e. aspecting to the Sun and applying to natal Saturn ..

( choc. cake .. .. and beer ????????? )

When I hear retrograde, I always get worried. Usually everything gets thrown off, and off balance during those times. Uranus, Neptune, and Chiron all in retro? Am I screwed or what? LOL!

Chocolate cake and beer make a great afternoon snack, but usually have to be followed by some major antacids.
