for example. a womans venus within the first 10 degrees of Pisces forms a kite with my chiron neptune and pluto as well as juno. using clairvisions animated chart. you can fast forward or backward through time to see the position between the planets. doing this I can narrow it down through the years to find which venus in pisces woman works for me. the sun being behind or ahead of venus depending on the year. It could be a Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces or Aries. as well as the moon signs and other planets important in synastry. It might seem a little toilsome but for those of you who really look towards synastry it could be promsing.

I have sun at 3deg pisces, venus at 10deg pisces, mars at 22deg cancer.

You know I actually went through years and years worth of ephemeris at astro.com doing exactly what you mention, so I came up with compatible sun signs in few different years whose venus/mars etc ALSO agreed with my planets.

BUT-

Recently I met a guy whose on the peripheral of my group of friends, we've known one another just to say hi for a few years but never talked until a few weeks ago. I was intrigued by him he's not at all the kind of person I thought he was.
As he's a sag I hadn't checked ANY sag sun sign (although I should've as my desc is in sag) for compatability but after talking to him for so long I did.

We have:
his sun trine my moon
my sun conjunct his moon
his venus trine my venus
his venus conjunct my mars
my venus trine his mars
my venus conjunct his jupiter
his sun in my 7th

It is very possible that simply knowing what you want,
or, at least, having some idea of who may be right for you,
will create a channel/doorway for that person to manifest in your life.
And there is nothing wrong with being specific.

A friend of mine made a list a few weeks ago
of qualities she would like to meet in a lover.
She made a list of what she needs,
and another list of what she wants.
Two weeks later she met a man that fit both lists to a T.
The only thing missing is that he's not a vegetarian,
but then he said something to her about considering vegetarianism.
She is blown away that this "gorgeous man" would even be interested in her.
She is nearly convinced that the list had something to do with it.

Make your charts and believe in your dreams.
They may not come true, but thats not the point.
Its better to do something and fail,
then to do nothing and succeed. Right?
