For using midpoints? Can the softer angles be used like trines and sextiles? Do you know where I could find interpretations? Are only exact degrees used? (0 to 1 degree orb)

How does it work in synastry?

PS. If only I could do a search in this forum to find what I am looking for. I just know some info on midpoints must have been posted!

Thanx

Hmmm, good question. I think it depends on you really. I've read somewhere that only hard angles should be studied, and then I've seen astrologers conduct reports using trines and to a much lesser extent sextiles.

Personally, I only tend to stick with conjunctions, oppositions, and squares...unless there's a VERY significant connection (Sun/Moon trine an angle or strong planet and/or configuration)

And for the hard aspects (sq, cn, op) I use a 0-1 degree orb, for trines I only use 0 degree since it's not as strong as the previous 3. I don't use sextiles at all.

Cafe Astrology has some information on midpoints http://www.cafeastrology.com/astrologytopics/midpoints.html

In synastry, I only use 0 degree orbs. Unless like I said it's a very prominent midpoint aspecting a very strong planet/configuration/angle in the other person's chart, then I may use 0-1 degrees but only for the opposition and conjunction. I always use squares as 0 degrees in synastry, and I rarely use trines/sextiles.

This could be a recurring question, but what could the orb be stretched to for Pluto Venus conjunction synastry?

Thanks
