What follows are my OPINIONS. I tend to upset people around here, so by no means should this be taken as the astrological gospel.

If you're Capricorn Rising and your Sun falls in your first house, I'll take the leap of faith and assume you are, indeed, one of these opportunistic and self-serving Capricorns. First house = Me house!

All that follows will consider that you do have your Capricorn Sun in the 1st house.

If your Scorpio Moon falls in the 10th, great. Such motivated placements as Cap Asc, Cap Sun in 1st (presumably?), and a Scorp Moon in the 10th would probably make one h*ll of a strong person. One who can set goals, and likely really succeed in life, and I'd bet as a result of your own hard work.

If your Scorpio moon falls in your 11th house, this might further increase the Capricorn/Scorpio mixture of leaching, as you'll be more likely to lean on other people for your own gain, with friends and lovers likely thinking you have an acutely unaware, maybe compulsive, tendency to take advantage of them. Regardless of whether you're unaware or just cunningly deceptive, you'll probably get away with it.

But if the Scorpio Moon falls in your twelfth house, try to be a bit more cautious of how you treat people, because Cap Sun/Asc is generally so social-status aware, that coupled with a Scorpio Moon in the often malignant, cloudy, confusing 12th could cause a rather grand disgrace, or perhaps simply a dissolution of direction. Or oppositely, being that Capricorn and Scorp are such privacy-oriented signs that a Scorp Moon in the 12th may create an undue fear and cause one to unnecessarily withdraw from normal social activity. But considering the typically confident Capricorn Asc, I wouldn't imagine the latter to be your case, assuming you don't have either a 12th house Sun or further afflicted 12th house Moon (or both Sun and Moon in the 12th house, which would intercept Sagittarius, therefore further suggesting a "grand disgrace" at some point in life).

Perhaps you're confusing the Ascendant with the Midheaven (10th house cusp).

So I was quite taken aback to hear that you have 5 houses (8th to 1st) spanning only 3 signs (Scorp, Sag, Cap).

I actually have to step out at the moment, but I'll try to get back to this later. I'd like to see your chart.
