I was watching something on Youtube about when the traveling Ascendant Conjuncts somebody's natal Mars indicates a surgery or getting a wound/sore. I'm not sure if this is valid in my case or if I can even see this in the transits I had at the time I had my mini surgery. It was a laparascopy to determine endometriosis.

Now I haven't figured out how to even post my chart so I'm still resorting to the putting my date down. (I have read the posts on how to but my Taurus Mercury is stuck and has not found the way yet.....lost cause with a 12th house mercury...)

"surgery transit" Nov 21, 1996 114W 51N at 3 PM to 3:13 PM.

So I was wondering if any Knowflakes out there had an insights into this and this maybe some good practice in honing your craft!

Many thanks

Interesting topic. I really don't know but I may take some to try figuring this out if I can... I've had two surgeries to remove a birthmark when I was 16, and I had a procedure done when I was 11 or 12 where they put a camera thing down your throat and then take a sample from your intestine to determine whether or not you have Coeliac's disease... I don't know if that counts as surgery, but it was certainly invasive, lol... and I have also had a needle biopsy on some breast tissue. I'm not sure whether I can get the dates let alone of the times of these procedures, but you've gotten me very interested.... if I can figure this out I'll add my findings to this thread!

When my kid was 9 and had 2 surgeries 10 months apart, Pluto was retrograding, then directly squaring his Venus.

My sister had surgery when Pluto was squaring her moon and Mars.

Pluto or mars making stressful aspects would indicate surgery possibilities to me.

Right on, Belage!!

In the last 2 months I had 2 surgeries. Pluto is conj my Moon at 29 Sagittarius, ruler of the 6th. Last surgery, when the aspect was almost exact, was unsuccessful, so they had to do it again.

Inner Depths, if you are Sag rising, I got a natal transit of Neptune trine Pluto (applying 2 degrees) and an exact Pluto conjunct Neptune going on around the time.
Pluto ruling your 12th. Thats all.

Hi Inner,

You had the following on the day of your surgery:

Transits

Transiting Pluto conjuncting natal Neptune in the 6th house.
Transiting Mars hitting your 5th house cusp and trining your natal Mars in the 8th house.
Transiting Uranus in your 9th house squaring Mercury in the 12th house, which is your Ascendant ruler.
Transiting Neptune in the 9th house was opposite your natal Moon on the cusp of the 3rd house: ruler of natal 2nd house, the natal 3rd house and the progressed Cancer Ascendant.
Transiting Mars was inconjunct natal Sun in Aries.

Progressions

Progressed Ascendant opposite Mars in your 8th house.
Progressed Ascendant square your Sun in Aries in your 11th house (Mars in the 8th house is the dispositor).
This created a T-square to the 11th house with your Sun in Aries as the focal point.
Progressed Mars was trine natal Pluto, with Scorpio intercepted in the natal 6th house.

Transits to Progressions

Transiting Mars conjunct your progressed IC/opposite your progressed MC.
Transiting Pluto on the cusp of your progressed 6th house conjunct progressed Jupiter, ruler of the progressed 6th house.
Transiting Pluto on the cusp of your progressed 6th house inconjunct the progressed Moon in the 12th house, which is ruler of your progressed Ascendant.
Transiting Uranus on the cusp of the progressed 8th house inconjunct the progressed Moon in the 12th house, which is ruler of your progressed Ascendant.

1996 Solar Return

Your solar return for 1996 had Pluto in the 6th house, which was the ruler of the solar return 6th house with Scorpio on the cusp. Transiting Sun had hit the cusp of your solar return 6th house and was in a 3 degree orb to conjunct the Pluto there. Transiting Sun was at critical degree in Scorpio.
The solar return 8th house ruler was Saturn, which was elevated in the 10th house and opposite to the Moon, which was the solar return Ascendant ruler with Cancer on the 1st house cusp.
Solar return Mars was in the 10th and squared the solar return Ascendant/Descendant axis. It was at home in Aries.
Solar return Jupiter was in your 7th house. Jupiter can represent physicians.
Transiting North Node was opposite solar return Mars thus making transiting South Node conjunct solar return Mars.
Transiting Mars was inconjunct solar return Sun in Aries.
Transiting Sun in the 6th house was trine solar return Saturn (ruler of the 8th house).
The natal 8th house of surgery overlays onto the solar return 7th house: bringing surgeons to your house of partnerships. The solar return Descendant was conjunct the natal 8th house cusp.
The solar return 12th house overlays the natal Ascendant bringing hospitals to you.

Event Chart

Aries was on the Ascendant.
Leo was on the 6th house.
Scorpio was on the 8th house.
Moon was in the 1st house, conjunct the Ascendant.
Mars (ruler of 1st) was in the 6th house.
Pluto (ruler of 8th), Sun (ruler of 6th) and Mercury (intercepted 6th house ruler) were in the 8th house.
Your natal 8th house cusp and solar return Descendant were conjunct the event chart Midheaven.
Your natal 6th house overlays the event chart 8th house.
Natal Mars (in the natal 8th house) was in the 10th house of the event chart during the surgery.
During the surgery, the event chart Ascendant passed over the event chart Moon, so that the Moon was in the 12th when the surgery ended.
Also, the during the surgery, the 8th house cusp passed over the event chart Sun with the 8th house cusp changing signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius. This placed the event chart Sun in the 7th house when the surgery ended.

AWESOME! Thanx sooooooo much. It makes sense to me from what you put down. I think I'll cut/paste it, print it and study it for a while to hone up on my interps......

I was so scared going under the knife that I wrote up my will and put it in a place where my family could find it.....They had to give me an ativan to calm me down before going under the knife.

I found the stuff they put my to sleep with was a heavy dose or something cause the surgery was over within 15 minutes and they wanted me to be awake after that. The drugs really knocked me out.

At 4 I was put back into my room and around 4:45 I tried to get ready to leave but fell back on the bed and slept till 8:30 and finally left the hospital at 9:00 - when the Day surgery ward closed.

PS. THANX AGAIN

You're welcome, Inner. Glad to be of help. I would have been very nervous and fearful too! I hope everything turned out to be OK for you.

Moon was in Aries that day, so that can indicate stressful emotions. It was in your 11th house, so it would have picked up some nervous Aquarian energy as well. If you look at an event chart prior to surgery, a bit earlier than 3 PM, that Aries Moon was in the first house, which can indicate a lot of energetic, emotional feelings.

Also, transiting Neptune was opposite your natal Moon. Your Moon sits on your 3rd house cusp. It's ruler of your 3rd house and ruler of your progressed Ascendant. Neptune opposing it can indicate fearful emotions and strange moods.

With transiting Pluto on your Neptune in the 6th house, I can understand why you were groggy and sleepy after the surgery. You would have been easily transformed through drugs and anaesthetic.

At 3 PM, the transiting Neptune was elevated in the event chart 10th house, so above the horizon and taking precedence. At 8:30 PM it had just passed below the horizon to end up in the 6th house, which is when you were awake again and getting ready to go home.

When you left the hospital at 9 PM, your natal Sun was approaching the event chart Midheaven and your natal Uranus was approaching the IC, giving you some energy to get home.

I didn't look at your lunar return, your diurnal chart or your solar arcs, but there were probably more indications of surgery in them as well. You may want to take a look.
