Hello,I'm trying to learn how to read the synastry chart for my husband and I (see pic below). We've known each other for 10 years and married for almost 6. Here are the aspects I'm aware of: Trines His Sun trine my Moon
My Sun trine his Moon
My Mars trine his Saturn
His Mars trine my Saturn Conjunctions My Ascendant Conjunct his Sun
My Sun conjunct His Venus/Mars
My Mercury conjunct his Venus
My Venus conjunct his Mars
His Venus conjunct my Venus Sextiles Our Mercuries are sextile Others My Sun is on his DC HOWEVER, My Sun square his Saturn
His Sun square my Saturn  I'm still new at this so any hints/advice would be much appreciated! IP: Logged |

You seem to have pretty good synastry. Yes there is mutual sun-saturn square, but other than that, things should be good. You seem to be compatible intellectually (Mercury), sexually (mars and venus) and emotionally (sun and moon). What seems to be the problem? Does everything seems too easy, thus boring? IP: Logged |

^^ Nothing is really wrong... we seldom fight, and if we do, it's always regarding finances. I don't mind a real, heated argument every now and then, however, he's always very good with not stepping on my toes when i'm angry (must be his libra moon).My purpose of starting this thread is not so much as to get help on my relationship but as it is to learn how to interpret a synastry chart more effectively (ie. what are the aspects that indicate if a relationship would be successful/unsuccessful, other than the usual sun-moon, mars-venus, saturn asperelationship; how to tell if a connection is karmic/soul-mate, etc?). Well, imo, if you're married, it is a karmic relationship.There seems to be a lot of romantism and fairytalism about what karmic relationships are. Like it's supposed to be this big woohoo thing that's going to blow your soul away, and you and your mate will start finishing each other's sentences, you will finally feel whole and complete, your life will suddenly take meaning. Yours is a perfect example of a synastry which has a lot of ease, thus might not provide enough excitement and spark if you have certain natal aspects that call for excitement in romance. If you feel this man is your soulmate, then you probably won't need astrology to tell you. If you have doubt, then you might want to check your natal Chiron and what aspect they make. Some astrologers like to delve deep into the other asteroids like Eros, psyche, Valentine, Amor, Juno, but I am still earning on those, so I prefer to stick to Chiron which I have studied for a while and feel more comfortable commenting on. I looked up Chirons in your respective charts, and they seem to be conjunct, but I couldn't see what aspects they make to the other planets in your charts. For instance, if you have Chiron squaring or opposing other planets like Saturn, Pluto, Neptune or Uranus, it will feel like you're being denied soul mate fullfillment and you might end up settling for what you consider second best. note she has uranus square venus transit and he has neptune about to trine his venus soon so there might be difficulties with finances and with relationships. i would say this is a delicate time and uranus conjunct moon can show maybe a pregnancy or almost definitly a change of home or maybe even problems with a female in the family------------------

@ Belgz how can you tell? I don't have the exact degrees of her planets, so I am just eyeballing their location and making guesses as to where they are located. She seems to have gone through the Uranus square Venus transit already, but she seems to be experiencing a Mars square Venus right about now and soon she might be experiencing a Saturn square Venus which might point to difficult times. i always look at the sign then house of the planet in aspect.eg saturn is the teacher and sun the learner so you and your hubby are teacing each other different things( and not all karma is bad. some youve earned from other life times is good so a reward so no fighting. )add in the signs to see how you express the planet and add the house to look where it happens.IP: Logged |
