House size influences how long or how intense the experience will be for lunation and eclipse.
Look to progressions that are active at the same time if you have a favorable venus to sun and it is set off that could be a promise of an important love or financial gain that year.

Pay attention to transits especially a heavy transit that are opperating at the same time
Example would be Uranus that can go back and forth over a planet several times but when a lunation activates it the unexpected will happen the eclipse will help pinpoint the exact event promised and the time frame.

Eclipses work for up to three years.

They will start and end the energy of a transit and progression.

The dignity and debility of a planet affected must be noted.
If a planet is in it's fall there will seem to be more of an adverse effect but if in rulership or exaltation will be more beneficial.

Also the type of house
Angular - will work in a very public way

Succedent- will tend to bring an opportunity but you have to rise to the occasion.

cadent - will demand that you make an adjustment or change. mor psychological and behind the scenes.

Rules of orbs

1. Major influences are felt if the eclipse or lunation is exactly on the house cusp, or exactly on a planet

2. Major happenings can occur if within 5 deg of a cusp or planet, either applying or seperating

3. much less of an effect up to 10 degrees but will still have an effect on a cusp or planet.

4. Don't rule out a minor effect if the lunation is in the same sign as a planet, even though it may be very far from the planet.

Very good information...but...I don't know how to pinpoint progressed transits when looking at a chart, haw do you actually see the time line? Unless you put a transit chart together for practically every hour, how do you see or know the exact time or day when it hits the planents in a unwelcome way?

I think the eclipse may have had something to do with the volitile energy in my house a few days ago. Both my daughter and I are Leos and we had a blowout over some cherries that resulted in her moving out. I am certain the eclipse maybe brought things to a point, becasue really, it can't be about cherries....

But I always found it tough to decipher when the opposition or tough aspects will happen. Not sure if you can explain....

good or bad things can happen with an eclipse.

Example : Whenever you get something good from an eclipse there is always a price to be paid.

One person will experience a loss and another a gain

Say you fall in love with someone who is already involved with another person, Then they leave that other person for you, and that person pays the price.

Or you get a promotion at work because someone else was fired, you gain they loose.

Sunshine lion, Sorry to hear about your daughter sounds like deeper issues than cherries
Did the eclipse take place in her cadent house?

I am not sure. I ran the transit for the 1st, day of the eclipse and for the 5th day of the big fight...but I didn't see anything too troubling. eclipse was in her 12th house.

Thanks for the good info though.
