HI
Although I have read quite a bit on astrology, got Sun Signs when I was around 13, and have been hooked since.
I admit, I am just lost when it comes to some things that explains a chart. If anyone could shed light on these things I will be so relieved!
I have the sun sign and moon sign figured out (I know, the easy part)
I am going to use my chart as an example. Both my sun and moon are in Pisces But then I don't understand what this is:
Rising Sign is in 19 Degrees Cancer
Mercury is in 01 Degrees Aries
Venus is in 14 Degrees Aquarius. (just a sampling) What influence does the word "rising" have?
Or this: (conjunction, trine, sextile, ect...) When I read the following about myself in the chart summary I found most of it UNTRUE)

I know myself, but I want to know why I am the way I am, if that makes sense.

Your Rising sign is the "mask" you show to the outside world. When most people try to guess what "sign" you are, more often than not, they're guessing what you're rising sign is. Oh and you probably don't identify with all of the planetary aspects because the orbs are too wide (meaning the planets are not making exact trines, conjunctions, sextiles, etc). I've bolded the ones that you should feel more affinity to:Planet Aspect Planet Orb/Value
