Just a little something to share! In the bible It says that if we come to the father with an open heart and ask so shall we recieve. This I believe is more about asking for things such as peace, happiness, joy ect....
like in the story of solomon when he was told he could ask God for anything, He asked for wisdom, not wealth, not long life. This pleased God and God in return gave him wisdom and even the things in wich he did not ask for such as riches and honor and promised him long life if he followed God and his commands.

All who call on God in true faith, earnestly from the heart, will be heard and will recieve what they have asked and desired. One other thing to keep in mind is that any change that comes, there will always be a bad attached with the good. Even when it comes from God directly.
