It seems like these houses dont mean so much in synastry, because in the books always talk about work or the unconsciousness, but I think that they have a lot to say in synastry as well, it seems like these two houses work a lot like the nodes, I think they have a lot do with the Kharma/Dharma relationship, for example a Venus of the person A falls in the 12th house of the person B, maybe with other aspects in the chart can reveal a former love in another life, or the same case but in the 6th house can reveal a meant relationship to work in this life with that person. The personal planets or some asteroids can reveal the same trend. I hope your comments IP: Logged |

Most interesting, since i have read a lot that both 6th and 12th house in synastry or comparative (composite) imply a lack of boundaries, but it rings quite true that it can involve karma...I had this house with an ex in composite and the synastry was full of saturn squares, which also imply a lot of karma it is said... Also, it looks as if both 6th and 12th house are teacher/student rship thus in an "equal" relationship it might not be that good on the long-term ( exceptions notwithstanding), but it might be ok if u have a karmic debt to settle. Hopefully someone will contribute with real life experiences... IP: Logged |

The 6th and 12th Houses are of prime concern because they are an axis of COOPERATION. You just try having a relationship with someone who's Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto makes a stressful aspect to the ruler of your 6th house - just try it. I guarantee this person will drive you nuts. The 12th House is secrets, where you like to isolate and your critical health. It's the same scenario, this person may feel intrusive to you if they stress your 12th House ruler and the phrase "you make me sick!" could feel literal. Not that someone else can make you sick - well, I take that back. It happens all the time. Or this person can help you to hone your cooperation skills, a lot of people do need that. Most interesting, Valentine Never saw it that way, likewise then the opposite would be you would really like this person? I am referring to the 1st part of your post... This Axis has always fascinated me, because, especially the 12th house, is soooo subtle in my experience...

I've only ever experienced the 6/12th dynamic in the Composite, and it was pretty awful.IP: Logged |

Well 6th house is the mundane world (chores, bills, housework, service) and rules physical health. 12th house rules the spiritual and I guess the higher plane as well as isolation. It rules mental health I think as well.I tend to find that people who have planets in my 12th (except say something like jup or venus) aren't really popular with me. I know a few people who have put their moons in my 12th and I feel that they are trustworthy (and I feel disturbed too). As for 6th, planets that fall in someone else's 6th, the planet person will "serve" them in some way and maybe might get manipulated given a mean partner. IP: Logged |

Good question Mhax.Geocosmic Valentine - I'm going to be looking out for this 12th house ruler and 6th house ruler guideline in future. Very interesting. Would you say someone's Saturn opposing your 6th or 12th house ruler would be better or worse than someone dropping lots of planets or points in your 6th and/or 12th house? I guess I'm asking for your opinion on the differences between these two types of astrological interaction. 23 - so the planet person serves the house person. And if it's mutual planets in each others 6th houses, it balances out? Or will the spirit of disparity manifest somehow? Let me give an example: Person A's Venus is in Person B's 6th house and Person B's Venus is in Person A's 6th house. Would this just completely take out the service idea because they would be in a mutual situation, or would the relationship just become a romantic burden to both of them sort of thing? I'm talking generally. IP: Logged |

Winky: In my experience, the 6th/12th axis creates unrequited love, or at least a relationship where one person loves the other one more.In Synastry this isn't necessarily the case, however. I'd look at the Composite. IP: Logged |

Well it's hard to say. The planet person will evoke the house person to deal with 6th house issues - maybe talk about the mundane etc but the house person is not an energy. The energy is the planet (person) and that planet will be used for 6th house issues. As for the second example, there might be balance achieved, depends what sign venus falls in, aspects etc. I suppose also it'd act something like a "double whammy" in that there will an intensification of 6th house issues. Speaking of double whammy Venus in 6th, it brought to mind the synastry I had with my Scorpio ex, which after awhile the relationship felt like a strange sort of duty or obligation attached to it. And it apparently it came from both ends. I personally find it to be a difficult and ugly placement for 'Venus'... ------------------ Sun in Libra Moon in Cancer Jupiter in Cancer Venus in Virgo Mars in Cancer Ascendant in Cancer "I was born when she kissed me. My Neptune is in a persons 6th house. I read that this placement could be an indication of the Neptune person taking care of the house person.IP: Logged |
