I (the crab) was 17 & had just graduated. I embarked on an epic roadtrip with 3 of my girlfriends to the West Coast. LA was our first destination. I met him as he was being kicked out of the McDonalds on Hollywood Blvd with a friend who I had actually known from my hometown of Dallas. They were street kids and he was only 15, but he lied to me and said he was 16! hehe. It was punk rock lust from the 2nd day we met (the first day I had a headache, hehe). We consummated our meeting on the rooftop and soon found ourselves all occupying an abandoned bldg on Hollywood & Vine, formerly known as the legendary Brown Derby. The next 2 months consisted of a few trips up & down the west coast, from LA to Seattle and back, stopping on the way in SF and including a massive 23 person/3 vehicle caravan to Punk Fest in Portland. He ended up coming back with me to TX at the end of summer, but I sent him back on the greyhound to LA (not without valium & pot brownies tho, hehe) after a month. We were too young, and he needed to grow up a bit. I needed to grow up a bit. I had purposefully devolved just to spend that summer how I did, but I had to get it out of my system and I had some major life lessons to learn from that experience.
For the next 2 years, I worked very hard on getting my head together in regards to my lovelife. I learned how to be happy alone and determined exactly what I wanted from a mate. I made a promise to myself to patiently wait for this, and not get attached to anyone who didn't meet my loftiest standards. I also secretly wished in many a wishing well that the Scorpio boy from Hollwyood would get his head together too and we could someday make things work...
Welllll.... fast forward 2 years later and we meet again in LA. He told me how he thought about me and hated how he had treated me. Everything fell together & we fell in love. He went back to Texas with me again, and now 12 years later, we're still together! (Although are no longer in TX). It wasn't always an easy road and there was much learning to do on the way, as one would expect with a relationship that endures 12 years, but we have evolved so much in that time. Now he is an amazing stained glass artist and a prized employee at his job. He is just such an amazing guy & we have had an amazing life together!
Anyway, you guys may be reeling from that story, but one thing I have learned in the last 12 years is that I just gotta be me and put it out there. I've suffered extreme setbacks from suppressing my true self in an effort to make people feel more comfortable. I can't do it anymore. But that's for another thread. The purpose of this thread is that based on our history, what can you guys tell me about our *edit* Composite chart? Anything? I know in my heart that he & I have major karmic ties... thoughts? What else does our chart reveal???

If you want to post the synastry (I'm curious as well) - on astro.com go to "Free Horoscopes" - "Extended Chart Selection" - choose his name and yours and pick "Synastry Chart" at Please Select the Chart you want.

The synastry chart compares each of his planets to each of yours - and the aspects they make. This is more about how you relate to each other. For example, comparing Your Sun in Cancer and his Sun in Scorpio, is a synastry comparisson.

The composite chart is a chart of the relationship in itself. It is based on the midpoints of all of your planets. For instance, the midpoint between your Sun in Cancer and his Sun in Scorpio is - Sun in Virgo (as per the composite chart you posted)

my best friend is a crab w/ a scorpion man and that is the most dramatic, outrageous, hellacious, psychotic relationship i have ever been exposed to. but they are together and will stay that way.

augentier, that's interesting... especially that despite it all they stay together because it just goes to show that the Cancer/Scorp bond is an intense one on more than one level.
I would say that he & I have definitely displayed all of those qualities at one time or another in our relationship over the years (never in a negative sense publicly however, we would never impose that on others)) but our Libra AC I think lends an air of grace almost to us as a couple? That's perhaps not quite what one may imagine of us from the story of our beginnings together, but hey I'm just reportin' the facts here, hehe
I also know that many of our friends & family members look up to our relationship and somewhat even put our relationship on a pedestal in their minds. That's ok with me because I like that we symbolize hope & true love, to some people. On the downside, if we ever did part ways... I think it might really crush some of the people we know.

Thanks Peri! I read a lil more about Venus conj Pluto and found this in an old thread about sinastry... does it apply to our composite chart also?
In Relationship Signs, Linda says that if one person´s venus is conjunct with another´s pluto, that indicates Twin Souls or Soul Mates, people who were once the same individual, one half being the male half and the other the female. They have an innate longing for the other and, from lifetime to lifetime, the unite to feel the joy of completion.

Well I'm not exactly an expert but I do suspect you have a really strong and almost unbreakable bond with the venus/saturn conjunction. Im glad to hear your crab/scorpio love story has worked out better than mine....haha. Very wonderful to read about!
