Because 24° of Leo ... the sun had been there on the 16th/17th of August, just 2 weeks ago. And that was the night of the lunar eclipse - when Moon was in the opposite sign of Aquarius, at 24° Aqua. A lunar ecplipse is said to have some heavy impact and long lasting consequences.

when is your birthday? mine is june 24, 1988 and we both have the same exact placements.

With Venus in Gemini you could seek out the air signs: Gemini, Libra and Aquarius either by angle or planet placement or in aspect to a personal planet. eg. Moon in Gemini or Sun/Mercury aspect or a Moon/Mercury aspect. With Venus in the 9th house you make look for placements in Sagittarius or Jupiter on an angle or Jupiter in aspect to the personal planets. eg. a Sagittarius Ascendant or Sun/Jupiter aspect.

Here are two examples you can look for in your partner's chart: These are called affinities.

1. Venus in Gemini = Venus in 3rd house = Venus and Mercury in aspect = Mercury in the 2nd or 7th house = Mercury in Taurus or Libra
2. Venus in the 9th house = Venus in Sagittarius = Venus and Jupiter in aspect = Jupiter in the 2nd or 7th house = Jupiter in Taurus or Libra

i have a good friend who is born june 23, 1986. he's one of two cancer males i can be friends with (the other I wrote about here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/018902.html) and both of them have leo placements, so i find it somewhat interesting that you've mentioned your composite sun being in leo with that one guy. hmmmm.

That's so weird... your friend and my friend both a day (granted, also a year) apart. Was this fated? Who knows.

Anyways, my ex-bf is an Aries Sun, Aqua Moon, Pisces Merc, Aqua Venus, Taurus Mars, Aries Jup, & etc. We got along great (and still do), but he really needs someone with more Taurus or just fixed signs (he's dating a libra sun, taurus moon, scorpio merc/venus, aqua mars girl now) in the long run. it made me very sad when we broke up because we fit each other well enough for a relationship but my life constantly changes and my mutableness really shook up his structure. We met through friends who we were working with to make this website that no longer works.

I meet people at school a lot, although I admittedly have never found anyone at my school for a relationship now that I really evaluate all my past romances.

I'm not sure how I handle my 9th house energy. It tends to manifest itself in my life in the most unusual ways. For example, I am moving to South Korea for a year for a teaching internship (and I leave in a month! YAY! I'm half tempted to start a topic about whether or not my transits indicate this move to be good or extremely bad). And before this internship, I was at a christian camp for two months where in the middle of the summer I decided that I didn't believe in God (more on that later). When I was growing up, my mother (Cancer Sun/Gemini Moon/Sag ASC) would bring me to the Philippines for two months in the summer to live in a run down home so I'd learn how lucky I was to be American.

I love culture and I love people. I love meeting new faces and making new friends. I love talking about philosophy, but I absolutely hate routine classroom work and just lecture in general actually. I'm very self taught and I try to take classes that allow me to be independent in my studies (it was kinda hard in an art school where there were no more than 15 people per class and a school-wide 3+ missed days and you fail the class policy).
