Is it possible for a family (parents, children, grandchildren) to have a "natal" chart? I know all events fall under a sign, but would it carry through generations? Would it be the grandparents anniversary? Is this even possible?

I think certain qualities in terms of aspects, planets in certain signs and planets in houses get replicated through generations as well as asc for the appearance. As for a "family" chart, some of what I said might apply or maybe the family chart is like a composite of everyone that everyone can seem to relate to??

I'm not too sure what you mean, but I think if it did, or a sign in particular, I would think my family would be leo, my 1st husband leo, me - leo 1st born daughter - leo and then the twins taurus.

TaurusVirgo,

Try the "MultiComposite" feature on Astro.

I don't know the maximum number of people you can enter, but I think this would be what you're looking for.

eighthmoon, yes i see it. thank you so much, that is what i was looking for. bc i am not a member i can only post four people. so i did myself my grandparents, who are now deceased, and my mom. now if i could only understand these types of charts. i noticed different branches of our family act totally different than others. just thinking maybe it also has to do with astrology as well as other outside factors.

I doesn't cost anything to become a member. I didn't "join" for a very long time because I was afraid of spam e mails and such, but have never received any.

It's worth it!

I did my 6-person family chart and we have a t-square in the fixed signs. ugh! Taurus is missing, i think we need to work more towards financial stability . Our sun is in Aquarius (no wonder the members seem detached and independent-minded). Saturn opposes the sun, mercury and jupiter. I see this as indicative of an absent father, lack of deep communication, and being abundance-challenged as a family. Mars/venus in libra probably points to complacency/low drive. My father and mother separated 10 years ago. Hmmm, all these make sense.

taurusvirgoleolady1974, yes it is possible for a family to have a natal cart if I understand you correctly.

I take it you mean by the family surname.
So if you decide to call your kid John thingymabobbjimmyjimmy, as the surname would be new, it would start a new family.
Any birth from then should show in the natal chart of that family.

What i did was a multi-composite chart of my parents and my siblings. We share the same surname (all children still unmarried).
