Hi All,

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced a relationship with someone who they had many square aspects with...
How did you feel in the relationship? Jealous? Uncertain? Uncomfortable?
Did you feel like they disapproved of you in some way? Did you learn something about yourself like many synastry cookbooks say about square aspects..?
Also, share which aspects were square and in what signs... Square Sun-Moon...Sun-Venus...etc..

I have a hell of a lot of squares with my mum. Here are some of them (mine v hers):

sun/mercury (aqu) square sun/mercury (sco)
uranus (sco) square pluto/moon (leo)
moon/jupiter/pluto (libra/aries) square mars/jupiter (capricorn).

It has been a very hard relationship. It's amazing we still talk to each other. Very difficult and very demanding, I find her very hard to deal with because a lot of it is both of our fixed planets colliding. We always used to argue and still do a lot when we are in contact but I guess I've gotten better at tolerating her but she is oblivious to her conduct. We always end up putting it behind (but of course, I have a lot of resentment internally). I think that saves is that my moon is most likely going to fall in her 7th (don't know her birthtime) and her sun/mercury fall in my 7th as well as her moon/pluto falling in my 4th. These things make us stick together I guess.

It can be productive, providing there are some Conjunctions and Trines to balance things out.

My synastry with my husband has a Grand Cross. With one of our sons I have a Grand Square. Both are significant relationships I wouldn't swap if I had the choice. Both synastry charts include powerful conjunctions where we are strongly similar in a helpful way, and both have powerful trines that help things along.

Example ~> Both charts have Mercury Trine Mercury. That's good if you are a Sun Gemini like I am, the boy is Virgo, the father is Virgo Rising. So that is an important interaction for all us.

Usually I wont notice any difficulty in the beginning, its over time that they make their influence felt. And then its more of figuring out whether you want to adjust your ways of being or just leave. Usually I leave because on the whole Im much more comfortable with sextiles and conjunctions, I'm more the type of person who wants someone who's very similar.
