Because not everyone can be famous or be "successful". Maybe she doesn't want to be famous or "successful" in terms of her career. I have a 10th house sun/merc/Cap MC, I'm not famous or "successful".

North Node in the 1st house hasn't stopped Oprah or Michael Jackson. It seems to be a very common placement in celebrity charts - or at least definitely not a hindrance.

I cant see the DOB in the chart. If she is young enough and alive, she can still become famous

Maybe her Mars in Pisces in 4th and Venus in Cancer in 9th = her being more a spiritual, homebody-type person? (I have Mars in Pisces in 4th and I'm pretty much a homebody! lol). She's also a grand water trine so maybe she's just flowing along with those energies rather than putting her earth in 10th planets to practical use?

What is there to activate the Grand Trine?

Venus Square Neptune isn't the aspect of someone ruthless and organised.

Saturn is in the G.T helpfully providing discipline and structure but is Squared by Pluto. That doesn't speak to me of lucky breaks.

Moon/Sun/Jupiter so close by degree is a powerful influence, it could be quite overwhelming. Virgo isn't a sign that thrusts itself into the limelight.

Has she tried to build a successful career, but failed? Or has she chosen something other than a career centred life? Also, how accurate & reliable is her birth time?

should she be? based on what?
many astrologers have tried to find a recipe for 'fame' or 'success' and failed; or at least - it failed to make accurate predictions.

most "theories" only attempt to explain already established success (as in - look, oprah has NN in the 1st - that's gotta be it) - but any first semester student will tell you that's not how it's done. it won't work, etc.

so - do you have it? the miracle recipe

based on what I know, that water GT is a big deal. and 'success' may be a differet matter for this person.

P.S. how old is this person, anyways? around 52?

Saturn square MC at exact degreeshould tell you a thing or too... Maybe the right opportunity hasn't arrived, maybe she can't sell her talents to the world because she's too shy (Saturn in 1st, maybe), maybe she deals with obstacles and delays no matter how ambitious she is (because she seems like she should be).

My Saturn/Pluto/Mercury in 12th are square my MC/Moon... Crap! but I'll stay positive.

True, about the shyness. Also, I think I sometimes lose my hunger and edge and get distracted by frivolous things.

As for success... success is relative. I don't think I'm successful at all and that's simply because I am not, but I have achieved things that gave people the impression that I am successful. But all my past achievements mean NOTHING to me because if I could do it, then it wasn't that difficult to begin with, and also... you're only as good as your next successful venture, which puts me nowhere in the successometer.

My current goal though is a total mindf*<k because I have no control of it. Maybe your friend is in the same boat, where her success depends on other people who need to "buy/invest" in her product. If so, that can take years. *Maybe she doesn't want to shag her way to the top, which is my problem. I could've been so far otherwise (that's what I tell myself to comfort me ol'self), but jokes aside, it depends on what you're willing to give up to succeed. You friend looks like she plays it safe with Saturn in 1st being part of that g-trine, or she gives the impression of playing safe and slow.

JKR and Harry Potter is an example of such, where the talent is there, but the investor isn't (more excuses ). Speaking of which... how does JK's chart look?

Thanks. This topic just reminded me that I gotta work harder. There's no rest for the wicked.

Gotta work harder
Gotta work harder
Gotta work harder....

Her Uranus sextile Mercury... does she have a lot of good ideas but seldom follows through? It's a soft aspect so I would think that maybe she is bored with her thoughts of brilliance because they come so easily, so much so that she doesn't even think they are brilliant ideas. 9th and 11th house at play with this aspect could mean that her ideas are the type that benefit humanity in some way. Maybe she's figured out a way to solve some global problem and she doesn't know it yet.

It's far fetched but... nothung is far-out for me.

Astrology doesn't have answers for these questions. Unless a forum member has a very poor understanding of astrology, I wish people would stop posting topics like this.

Sorry if I'm not playing along with these nonsense topics. No human has the skill to explain why this person isn't famous. This topic is so nebulous that any conjured guesses would be misleadingly speculative, and I consider such practices to be somewhat insulting to real astrology.

Welcome to Lindaland!

Seriously, I think the original poster was wondering why someone with such a powerful, benevolent stellium in her 10th house doesn't have a great/meaningful career. The fame question is a bit silly, but that probably wasn't writesomething's main point.

My MC is in Leo , I have Mars & NN in 5th house..Sun, Moon, Mercury, Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn in my 2nd house..and Venus in the first, supposed to be a real charmer who makes the big bucks and is in the limelight right? Oh and that Capricorn sun..I should be career driven and materialistic.

WRONG!

Unfortunately a lot of us do not live up to our potential.

Hi Writesomething,

What does she do? I agree with Unmoved that success is in the eye of the beholder. She may not look like a success to you or even to herself, but she may be a success. Also, being famous and being prominent can be 2 different things. She doesn't have to be famous like a movie star or a novelist, she can be a prominent member of her community or her own social circles, in her church, in school. It can be as simple as someone who is constantly chosen to the read the minutes at a meeting in the organization she works for, even if she works for a supermarket and she's asked to make the announcements about price changes over the loudspeaker.

If you can tell us what this person in her early 50's does, that might help US to determine if she is successful or prominent, because her chart certainly does suggest a high, high probability of prominence. Her chart also suggests that she could be quite a record breaker.

hmmm... ok.

consider also that some who participated on this thread were speculating and that this was understood without spelling it out.

I think it would be tedious (but maybe necessary) to include a disclaimer of sorts in one's posts that outlines clearly that "the views expressed in this post are not fact but are based on pure speculation from a limited amount of astrology -and communicated through my personal filters- and should by no means be taken as fact, or be utilized to override one's personal choice and will. Please contact a professional astrologer or your soul for further, and more useful assistance."

I apologise in advance for my tone.

The point is... we know... but maybe I should use the bold text as my signature.

Unmoved,

That disclaimer is brilliant. I'm gonna steal it.

Hmm...maybe I'll put an "Unmoved TM" next to it.

she cleans houses for a living 2 days a week, and the other days she works in a retail store. she works everyday, she never has a day off. shes had a really difficult life from what i know. shes had to take over responsibility for her grandchildren because her daughter is a drug addict, and incapable of getting her act together.

from what i know shes never had her own business or seeked public recognition. shes never had a "successful career". she likes being alone, and isnt married. shes not afraid to be by herself. i honestly was blown away by her chart. shes a great woman.
