Does anyone believe in the chinese horoscope thing? I came across it today on the internet. It said that I am a horse, my son is a rat, my daughter is a snake and my husband is a rabbit. I also heard that the chinese believe that when a baby is born, that the baby is already 1 year old.

haha, really? Cool.

I wonder if Capricorn babies are 2 yrs old when they are born.

I hear that there are fewest babies born in the year of the fire horse,
because these creatures are considered far too restless, independent, and willful.

Somebody want to post the link to that thread we had with the calculator?
The one that tells your Chinese sign by year, month, day and hour.
Where's 'Zala when you need her? 'Zala?!!?!?

HSC
Year - Earth Horse (Ancestors)
Month - Water Dog (Parents)

I've never heard that in both china and US. it's probably a local thing like the fortune cookie. if you ever go to china and ask for fortune cookies after a meal at any restaurant people will have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

I'm a dragon btw.

I'm in Korea and it's true that they count years differently. It's a little complicated but basically that's it... when a baby is born it's a year old

I believe in Chinese astrology. I think it may coincide with our astrology in fact.

I'm a water rat myself.

I am so confused. i always thought I was the year, but this calculator has something for Day which is "you, while year is "ancestor." is my sign the year I was born, or the day?

Im a "Fire Tiger" in Chinese astrology..I always felt its description fit my general personality a lot better than my western Capricorn sun sign..though my Fire Tiger matches the qualities of my Sag moon so that could explain it..

------------------
Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon

Mercury:: Sagittarius
Venus::Scorpio
Mars::Pisces

I read from this chinese astrology book that I have why there are very few fire horses. Many mothers aborted their children if they knew that they would be fire horses. Fire horses were known to leave home early and only care about themselves. They would not take the responsibility of taking care of their parents as what is traditional in asian cultures.

Well, it says that I am a horse and I care about others. I really do care about people's feelings. Is a fire horse and a horse the same thing?

I just went to this one site and it said that a fire horse is different from just a horse. It said that I am an earth horse.
