Avoid Mercury retrograde January 11 - February 1, 2009. The actual launch is when it goes live, right?IP: Logged |

I would look at when transiting Jupiter enters your 3rd house in the new year. Jupiter rules publishing and when in the 3rd house it could help expand communications with others. On January 25, 2009 at 11:55 pm PST there will be a solar eclipse at 6 Aquarius 30, which is on your 3rd house cusp. At first glance that maybe a good day to launch your site, but transiting Saturn in your 10th house of career and public standing is squaring your natal Mercury in the 7th house at that time. That could be a time of limited communications and interfere with your PR. Personally, I would wait until that passes. At the end of March on the 26th there is another new moon at 6 Aries 08 at 9:06 am PST in your 4th house of home, which is conjunct transiting Venus. New Moons are time to start things that you want to grow and succeed. At that time, transiting Jupiter in the 3rd house will be square your Moon, the public, in your 6th house of work and daily tasks. This could be a time to expand your dealings with the public. Bear in mind that there is no perfect day. You may want to construct a "birth chart" for your website for the date and time you choose to launch. Analyze it as you would a natal chart. Good luck. thanks deuxantares, and yes it would be when it goes live normally... but actually, my website is already live, I just haven't added any content or done any promo. It's just the barebones framework at the moment. My plan is to set a specific "launch" date (I work better w/ deadlines) on which I will upload all my content, announce the launch officially and start the PR campaign, etc. Thanks for your input astroleolady. That's definitely helpful. March will give me 5 months and that's probably a good timeframe. I will construct a birthchart for that day and post it so maybe we can determine if that really will be the best time. Thanks again!

1st Novemeber is fine, although a little too close.Im doing the same, have a website open for about 2 years now. Just got to do the PR and add some other info on there. But a lot needs to happen before that happens. I would look at the natal chart of the website opening and look to the 9th house. Normal place for PR. IP: Logged |

The birthdate would be the acutal date, time and place that the site launches. It's similar to picking a wedding date and time... electional astrology.Edit... does the public have access to it yet? If they do then this the birthdate for the website. IP: Logged |

astroleolady, the day I installed it to the server is the day the site actually appeared online (albiet barebones). So I think this chart is right, don't you? The future date (when I upload the content) is what I am calling the "official launch" for PR purposes, but in actuality it went live back on May 15th...IP: Logged |

If you are still working on and planning the site, which the public has no access to, then I don't consider that the birthdate. It's the same idea with a wedding or a business. The planning and developmental states are not the birthdate. The wedding chart starts the minute you say "I do" and the business chart birthdate is the incorporation date, place and time. The case of a non-incorporated business, the birthdate is the minute you open the doors or launch an initiative to the public. IP: Logged |

I will offer prints for sale. But mostly I will be using it as a portfolio to market myself as photographer/artist & my photographic skills/services. I am also hoping to use it as a vehicle to develop & hopefully market my other creative talents... i.e. perhaps i could parlay the writing I do there into something that could provide me some cashflow tooIP: Logged |

What I don't like is Cap on the Descendant. That could show limitation in your contact with others in business. For creativity, we look for the Sun, Leo and the 5th house. Uranus rules creative will. For the arts, we look to Venus, Libra and the 7th house. For photography we look to Neptune. The 10th house is career, status and world standing. The 11th house shows money from your career and along with the 10th house your goals. The 11th also rules acquaintances and the love you receive. Publications are governed by the 3rd house, Mercury, Gemini, 9th house, Jupiter and Sag. Communications are ruled by Mercury, the 3rd house and Gemini. The Moon rules the public. The 7th house rules PR. The Sun rules the heart, life force and vitality. Pluto rules the masses. Saturn and Capricorn rule business in general. This is very quick look. At the time of 11:20 am on March 26, 2009 the site would have a Gemini Asc and a Sag Des. Jupiter and Neptune are in the 9th house. The site would have a packed 10th house with the Sun, Moon and Venus conjunct one another under a New Moon in Aries. Mars in Pisces is elevated in the 10th as well. Good for imagination. Uranus in the 10th also is good for imagination and for originality. The MC would be in Pisces indicating creativity in the arts and in writing. Libra is on the 5th house. Leo is on the 3rd house. Saturn in the 4th gives stability to the home base of operations. Pluto in the 7th house if used wisely allows the ability to transform others and attract others magnetically and it's square Venus, so through the fine arts. The site could see public acclaim because of the Pluto placement. Capricorn on the 8th can indicate good business sense. Most of the planets are elevated above the horizon (extroverted) and in the west side of the chart (others). If you are really serious about this venture, you may want to consult a certified, professional electional astrologer to obtain their opinion for this date and time. IP: Logged |

DominaOriens, that is the same ASC as the one that I set up (talking about the website set up, not the business launch)Naturally assume that 9th house/Sag is PR/advertising, which means looking at the transit of Mars. 3rd house is press, while 11th house is TV. With a Sun (1st) conjunction to Venus (3rd) and ssx to Mercury (11th) your website looks to have a good natal for natural advertising purposes. IP: Logged |

There's nothing wrong with the May 15th chart. You have an angular Saturn, The Ascendant ruler is in the 10th house conjunct Venus. You have Pluto and Uranus in the houses of their exaltation. Venus is home (Taurus) Mercury is home (Gemini) The ruler of your 2nd house (Mercury) is in the 11th which should appeal to the masses. You have a lot to work with. Good Luck DominaOriens IP: Logged |

I think the one big challenge for all websites is how to increase (and then maintain) traffic. How do you do this? There must be something that will make people come back again and again. IP: Logged |
