that plus the trined moons i say at least stay his friend through the rough time he's having. this support will help him a lot, because you dont have to say much to help him you just have to be around.

looking at the stressful aspects in both of your charts and then seeing how both of you alleviate each other's stress - and it does happen with his sun merc to help out your sun moon uranus t square [which im sure helps you because i just have sun sq uranus by itself and to add the moon, i can only imagine] and then you add venus to his moon - his t sq is moon merc neptune, and your moon trine his helps him out of that a bit. i would say that his mars opp uranus is the bitter pill with this because not very much helps it out - and you have uranus conj, generational, but hes the one whos bringing the opposition to you - prob causing aggravation and i can see how that would be difficult to handle since you by yourself already have uranus stress aspects so that would be felt pretty clearly, i think. he has it in him to break off at a moments notice and you might feel that tension? the opp falls in your 4th/tenth - mars being in the 4th - so i can see how that side of him might frighten a very deep part of you. the fact that theyre in fixed signs could make him resistant to change, the way out through that one is his moon.

but then we have his moon sq merc & neptune.
youre right his t sq is mutable and the way out looks to be his pluto in the 3rd since it trines one planet and sextiles another there thats involved. but we dont really know if its in the 3rd or not..

i think getting him to express the positives of merc and sun trine neptune will be the key to unlocking the t sq, and then from there it will let his moon flow more freely [and more honestly and forthright] and then that in turn will start to free up the mars/venus opp uranus. that opp tho will be more diff since it is in fixed signs but if hes determined to change he can do it.

the key seems to be his moon first and foremost and i really do think youre helping him express more of himself in a positive way which in turn will help unlock some of his chart. now that says nothing to the strain that you live under and the strain that he may bring up in you. is it worth it to keep going? good friends like this in my opinion are few and far between. your call completely but i think it may be worth it - just dont think he's going to change asap cos he's got a lot to sort out - and when you have that much to work through it helps to have someone who really cares as a friend. how much you want to make yourself available to him is up to you - just know yourself really and be cognizant of the fact that your struggles are going to have to be dealt with as well and he may not help you as much as you need... and maybe with uranus at least some of the work does need to be done on your [and his] own.

As for the synastry...His Sun & Mercury in your 6th house indicate this is an unequal partnership. Unequal isn't necessarily bad though. It just means that one leads. Often, it's the leader who serves. In this case, I'd say you're the leader b/c you're helping him deal with his mental illness. He follows your lead, but you're actually serving him because you're caring for that part of him. You're helping him become more healthy. Your Saturn on his NN reflects that as well; you're a "paternal" type figure to him. And I guess that's what your concern is, if you want a relationship like that where the power balance isn't equal.

You do have some beautiful interaspects, and like I said, unequal isn't always bad. And maybe it's not as unequal as it appears at first. Those planets of his in your 4th, and his Moon on your NN tell me he's helping you grow emotionally. Maybe through helping him, you're healing yourself as well?

oh, hc, i was just going off of each person's chart and looking at the major stress aspects and then seeing if the other chart has a planet that harmoniously aspects that natal stressed planet. that was part of the synastry and then natally you look at the planet [if any] [or angle sometimes if youre grasping at straws!] that makes a harmonious aspect to the stressed planet.

focusing on our innate strengths gives us more power to overcome any possible innate stresses. and combining your chart with another's who's planet [and it has to be the right kind of planet] positively plugs into a difficult combo will more likely than not be a positive part of the relation. but sometimes the way out in a natal through one configuration is tied into another "difficult" configuration - so it's a maze in a sense ..sorry if i confused you

youre lucky in the sense that youre not both heavily water as that type tends to get very bogged down if afflicted and finds it difficult to comprehend a way out. possibly he's water rising? i know scorpio can be very fatalistic and incredibly sensitive. pisces will float around the issue and cancer will shut down [to protect]....you can always show 23 a pic and let her try to guess i wish that girl would write a book - id pick it up asap.
