Can anyone tell me what & how this affects me generally speaking, as much as I have had my chart looked at (which I paid $$$ for) this has never been mention or brought to my attention & with all this kerfuffle about Mercury rx on the forum at present it has made me want to know more. In advance your replies are greatly appreciated. ------------------ Just give me the bad news first...... IP: Logged |

I have Mercury rx in my chart. Mine is in Cancer. I speak with emotion. I remember everything on an emotional level. I'm focused inward. I know for me I don't have such a hard time with Mercury rx. Hell I find I have more opportunity and "Luck" when it's rx like it is right now. These are just my personal opinions on it with myself. what I have noticed with others who have Mercury rx in their chart is they have to explain what they mean. Metaphores and explainations. We know internally what we want to say but getting it out for the other person to understand is tough. It just depends where Mercury is at, what sign it's in and the aspects to it.

Question for the retrograde Merc people. When Mercury is retrograde in transit - does that affect you differently - does it make things easier? IP: Logged |

I'm with sliverfairy on this one, Merc rx is easier for me & has nice surprises but I find it hard to gel or have arguments with people around me due to the effect it has on them. I might not always like what I hear at these times but I do find out certain things I need to know like people gossiping about me etc. Anyone else have this experience during the rx?------------------ Just give me the bad news first...... I have it in Aquarius. Like SilverFairy said, it's hard for me to explain what I mean. I know what I want to say in my head, but I can't communicate it well. It's hard for me to speak in front of a group of people and just wing it, too. I have to have things written down first.IP: Logged |

I dont know what it means about your personality, most likely nothing at all. What it does mean about transits is that the houses with Gemini and Virgo on the cusp will have been a major feature in the days/weeks you were born. A transit is strongest when the planet returns. Mercury is going backwards when you were born, which means at some point it will have turned direct and conjuncted your natal Mercury. Seems pretty good.IP: Logged |

Same here. I've got Mercury rx right on the cusp of my 10th house conjuncting my MC: ALL IN LEO (= my sun sign...)! And phew, that's causing me some hardship in life. I noticed that I have to redo a lot of stuff that has to do with my studies/career/job. Best example: resits with some exams, even though I also study the first time... but something prevents me from succeeding and the 2nd time I miracoulously do pass. Oh yeah, I'm also terrified of job interviews, because then I have to concentrate even more on communicating than I already do (and which seems a bit impossible). And sometimes when I'm tired, relaxed or nervous, I start to stutter when I have to speak. A little funny part of this aspect: nearly all my past boyfriend's managed to pop up in my life again long after I've broken up with them. It feels as if I get a 2nd chance with them (if I want to). It's a bit frustrating too... ------------------ Asc: Scorpio Sun: Leo Moon: Taurus IP: Logged |

Yes, Interviews, talking on the phone are tough. My mercury is trine uranus and AC, Sextiles Mars and Saturn and Squares Pluto. My mercury rx is also in the 8th house. Gemini is on the cusp of my 8th house and Virgo is my MC. I don't stutter but I sound like a huge idiot sometimes. It takes me a minute to answer or I don't get the question right away. And here we go with the examples LOL I went to the doctor a couple weeks ago she asked me if I had any allergies. I said no I have problems with my eyes sometimes and she meant was I allergic to any medication haha That's the silly stuff I do, which is embarrassing because I realized what she meant after I answered her LOL IP: Logged |

Oh dear I do believe I see where it affects me now that I have read all of you're posts here!I have trouble with spontaneous questions asked of me, I have to be prepared first, and also the words that come out sometimes just do not convey the feeling but if I am writing to someone about something on my heart WOW once I get started I can hardly stop! The words flow faster than I can write them!!!! IP: Logged |

I know someone with Mercury rx in Taurus in the 12th house. He also finds it hard to say what he needs to say when it's not prepared. He is very quick when it comes to superficial funnies and jokes (he's a Gemini with a Gem Ascendant) but when he gets emotional or stressed, he verbally falters and almost begins to stutter.I also find that he speaks in very vague, abstract terms and tends to use alot of analogies to get his point across. The analogies help in understanding his point, but I personally find that it distances me from understanding the emotional heart of the matter at hand. In addition, he's not consistent at calling when he says he will and is very '12th house-ian' in regards to communication; wishy-washy, inconsistent, etc. During this particular Merc rx he has actually been the exact opposite of his usual self.
