my mother will be exoeriencing this transit soon - she has mars in her natal house 6.
Is it usually a good transit or could it mean that she might have some health problems?

Pluto has been on my Mars since summer 05.

The main issues with this transit were healing. I went through a series rolfing sessions(structural integration for muscles & fascia). The rolfing enabled me to release alot of past life issues I was holding on to.
I experienced spontaneous healing to my physical & emotional body. I felt like I was being torn apart & put back gain, It was an intense time of physical regeneration.

My Mars is at the very end of my 1st (but I feel that it's more 2nd housey)

It brought up a lot of old anger, things that I thought had been dealt with before. I became very much of a loner without feeling lonely. There were also issues around men & physicality, too much to go into on here! LOL!!

IMHO it is a good transit in the sense that it brings up the old in order for it to be dealt with once and for all. It could manifest in different ways for your mother.
She could become aware of a latent healing ability or become interested in holistic/complimentary medicine. She could also result in massive changes in work or her daily routine.
