I have a Pluto in first house transit coming up in January plus pluto conjunct ascendant coming up in December. What is it like experiencing these two transits? Any personal experiences are appreciated!

Pluto conjunct Asc typically impacts your relationships, intimate or otherwise, as Pluto brings focus to hidden elements of your psyche, especially those you've suppressed or denied.

These elements may surface as compulsions, drives, or an increased desire to be in control. The undesirable effects of Pluto in the first house may be mitigated by acknowledging the 'rejected' aspects of self (1st house) as both valid and valuable parts of your personality. Efforts to 'run or hide' from parts of the psyche considered undesirable may result in 'others' forcing these characteristics upon you.

Expect change. Pluto can bring about self empowerment when it, and its effects, are viewed positively.

Hey Astra,

I lost loads of weight during this transit, LOADS! There will be some kind of transformation to your appearance, it might not be weight loss, but it will probably be something significant.

It also brought self-empowerment like moonstruck mentioned.

Moonstruck,

I'm probably going to be unbearable when these transits hit since I'm already obsessed with control. LOL.

Deliverance,

Maybe I'll lose weight, too! Maybe these pluto transits will undo the effects of Jupiter.

I experienced PLUTO transiting my 1st house during the last decade! Actually, this loooong passage had started in the 2nd half of the Nineties for me, and is just about to come to an end (my 2nd house cusp is 29° Sagittarius, so Pluto will enter my 2nd house soon.) It would be a looooong story to tell - but to make it short: Despite of many turblences Pluto brought to me - it led to an immense (!) increase and awareness of the core of my own individuality!!! I wouldn't like to miss it!!! It was a silent background force for me - and I'm wary to see it leave my first house now ... Because from now on ... I have to make it "on my own", keep my head up high ... without the Plutonian fuel in my 1st house. It made me who I am, haha. REALLY: These have been decisicwe years for me, personality-wise. Be grateful for that (rare!) gift, that Pluto will support you in building up, refine and strengthen your p.e.r.s.o.n.a.l.i.t.y. for a couple of years. It will make you strong! (And not many people have the gift to experience that transit during their "active" years between ... say ... age 20 to 60 or so ... many will have it much earlier or later .. some: never.) ALL THE BEST FOR YOU. The stage is open for you now, my friend! ;-)
