I was wondering if there are any synastry aspects are automatically repel people. As in Person A is disgusted of Person B...or something like that...

often hard Saturn and Mars aspects.

I am not sure about Sun square Venus. I had Sun square Venus with somebody, and there was a strong attraction.

I agree with agree with Glaucus. Mars-Saturn hard aspects can be really difficult. I would also vote for hard aspects of Uranus-Moon, Uranus-Sun and Uranus-Saturn.

I don't know if I would say that those hard Uranus aspects would "repel" someone, it's just that they can make you very nervous or make you feel very uneasy with Uranus person, they may shock you with eccentric behaviors that you may not be able to tolerate. Either you think that person is crazy or you feel crazy when you are around them.

I think it depends on the natal chart, what aspects repel you.

In my case I found that a Mercury at about 25° taurus is a real bad location for me. It is in my 6th house and quinkunx Sun and Mercury and doesn`t aspect anything else at all. With a Sag Mercury I just dont get those Taurus - Mercuries.

Generally speaking hard Uranus or Saturn aspects could be difficult.
But what if your Uranus is conjunct his Moon, and you have Aquarius-Moon and he has Moon-conjunct-Uranus?
I think you would react differently to that uranus-moon-aspect than people with high Saturn and Pluto emphasis.

I remember I have had a crush on someone, with whom I shared a Moon-Uranus-conjunction. My Uranus was conjunct his Moon.
I loved that electricity (I have Aquarius-Moon), while I suspect he indeed felt a bit uneasy around me and didn`t reciprocate my positive feelings (His Moon was in Scorpio with no Uranus aspects).

I'm still learning, but I think Uranus maybe plays a significant part as far as the repelling part.
With one guy I liked we had Mars-Uranus (double whammy)...I think we knew how to push each other's buttons pretty well and I know he really got under my skin after a while. I'm pretty sure I did the same to him too.
We had great sexual attraction too with that though...
Also, we had a DW of Moon conjunct Mars. So again, lots of attraction, and almost overwhelming annoyance. Like wanting to be close to someone and shove them away at the same time.

Oh, and we both natally have Uranus opposing Moon, heehee. So it was not fun.

Moon Square Uranus

That is on the chart I share with a friend. We like each other a lot, there is a lot of great synastry going on.

But ultimately, this aspect symbolises the way I felt when we were young, that there was a clash between his sensitive Cancerian Moon nature and needs, and that at that age I was both ill-equipped to deal with it and wanted to be free. I didn't really want a boyfriend.

If we lived together, which we don't, we are both married to other people now, I think this may cause trouble, as much as we like each other and wouldn't want to cause each other pain.

Other aspects....

Venus Opposite Venus

This is one of those I have found on charts of people I respect, but somehow we just aren't compatible. It's a tolerate in short doses thing.

It's an aspect that is going to work particularly badly on my chart because of the T-Square my Venus is part of ~ it's contextual. The signs are Taurus and Scorpio ~ not the most yielding in the first place.

Venus oppose Venus can be good if part of a kite, mystic rectangle,or star of david(aka grand sextile)

definitely can be bad in a t-square or grand cross

my exgirlfriend's Venus in 13'24 Taurus oppose my Venus in 21'47 Scorpio, but that could be a bit wide for a synastry opposition. That definitely didn't repel us..there was a very strong attraction between us
especially her Venus trine my 13'27 Virgo Ascendant and her 13'43 Ascendant oppose my Ascendant. there were other things that indicated attraction like my Mars on her Geocentric Venus South Node and her Venus oppose my Geocentric Mars Node as well as our Suns aspecting our Venus/Mars midpoints as well as her Sun,Mercury, and Mars in my 8th house and my Sun,Mercury, and Venus in my 8th house

she and I broke up because of family issues, and they were strained by long distance too. I can't help thinking that the presidential primary of Hillary Clinton vs. Barack Obama also brought out racial/sexual tension between me(son of a black man and white woman like Barack) and her(a white woman like Hillary Clinton). I still love her with all my heart too,and I desire a reconciliation with her.

interracial relationships can be challenging here in USA,and they can get more challenging when the interracial couple has children....there are very few interracial marriages out of marriages here in USA. I believe Uranus and 9th house are involved in Interracial relationships. I don't think Jupiter is though because I don't see Jupiter as being different and divergent. I also believe that Uranus,9th house, and Eris in composite chart might also fit in with interracial relationships.

so many things can factor in why relationships don't work that go beyond Astrology. Of course, so many factors can repel. A woman who smokes, drinks,or uses drugs can easily repel me regardless of how good her synastry is with me. Same with a conservative as well as a woman that is bigoted in any way.

I think it also depends very much on the natal chart.

For example, a person like me (8th house stellium, natal Venus square Uranus) might be drawn in and lured by someone who makes me feel a little uncomfortable or crazy or interested in relationships with a bit of "edge", while my friend might be repelled by the very same feelings.

Different people are drawn into different kinds of relationships at different times, for different reasons. I don't think there are any aspects that would universally repel

Deliverance,

Thanks for your response to me.

Well...I don't live in Klansville. It's just that in USA, interracial relationships can be challenging...no matter where you go. I live in Sacramento,California. It is a diverse city, but there is still race relations issues here like in many cities in USA. That's just how it is.

Growing up,I always wanted to visited the UK and thought about living there. When I was in the navy,I had a lot of penpals from the UK. I even fell in love with an English nanny in New Jersey.

so yeah..I have thought about relocating to UK.

but I feel that I am better off here in USA. Even though USA has its race relations issues, I feel comfortable living here. I don't have problems here. It also helps that I leave people alone and mind my own business. I also feel that I shouldn't run away just because things are bad at times.

I love an American woman from the East Coast of USA, and I am from the West Coast of USA. I feel that we can persevere no matter what life throws at us. All we have to do is try,be patient, and persevere.

I am proud of USA with its diversity, and so I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life in another country. I would move to the East Coast of the USA so I can be with the woman that I love.

but yeah...I wouldn't mind visiting the UK at least one time in my life.

Agreed. I have Sun square Venus with someone and there is a great attraction.

I would say Sun/Saturn aspects. Limits expression. And ASC/Saturn aspects.

Mars/Mercury harsh placements can be a huge turn off.

the only synastry aspect I had problems twice was their Venus in Scorpio opposite my Taurus Sun...my Venus in Aries opposite their Venus or Sun in Libra has never caused any problems...also I dont like when someone's Moon falls on my Saturn in Leo : ) rubs me the wrong way

"No Probs Glaucus,
The only reason I brought it up is because you have made several posts where you spoke about the difficulties of being a bi-racial man in a mixed race relationship. I got the impression (from your post) that things were very tough for you. Apologies if I got that wrong."

I was talking about in general...not about me.

race relations are rather complicated here in USA for better or worse. That's just how it is in the USA.

I don't think that it's necessarily worse in other countries. It really depends on other people too and certain areas. I wouldn't let people's attitudes be a problem in my interracial relationship. I would just ignore them and just be myself and be with the woman that I love. I believe ultimately love defeats hate in the end.

I feel that Barack Obama's presidential run has really brought out a lot of racial tension here in USA. This is a guy who is son of black man and white woman like me.

I actually find this presidential race to be so stressful because it is so racially charged. I can't wait for it to be over regardless who gets elected.

It definitely has gotten me to confront my own racial identity, and after some struggle inside myself, I still consider myself a multiethnic person and don't care to embrace the one drop rule that Barack has done because of society. I believe that I should be proud of all my heritages and acknowledge them and not deny a single part of me as well as always believe in equality of all human beings. Who cares what society thinks!

I just wish that we all get along. That's my greatest wish for my country and for our planet.

My Pisces Moon square Neptune. hahahahaha
my father had Moon in Pisces with stationary Neptune, and my mom told me that he was like me in that regard. I asked her all kind of questions in regards to Moon Pisces which I suspected that he had,and she said "Yes" to every one of them. Years later, I found out his birthdate and my hunch accurately confirmed that he had Moon in Pisces.

He had same Sun-Moon combo(Capricorn Sun,Pisces Moon) as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, my hero. but same Sun-Moon combo as Elvis.....he had some of the positives of King like the idealism, the desire for unity, universal love and unfortunately, the negatives of Elvis, mainly the drugs.

I am all for the positives of Dr. King, but I stay away from Elvis' negatives.

I've been very attracted to/interested in many guys with which I have no aspects...but that's all it is, initial attraction. After talking to them a while I realize there is NO substance and a total lack of real chemistry.

Hey Glaucus,

Isn't it interesting that the two people who had traits like his are both referred to as: KING

Martin Luther KING, Jr.

And people called Elvis "The King".

Did anyone ever refer to your father as a king of something?

Not that I know of.

I never knew my father. From what my mother told me about him, he wasn't the type to be referred to as king in any way. He was a very shy, softspokened, mildmannered, unusually good natured, emotional, sensitive type of man but when he was angry, had quite a temper. He also had problems with jealousy. He was a highly superstitious and religious (he believed Voodoo magick and other type of metaphysical stuff existed, and his grandmother practiced voodoo protection as well other magick protection),and he was a Christian baptist.

My mom said that for somebody who never knew his father,I was so much like him. She even said that he was awkward with his hands like me,and so he had some Dyspraxia. He also had problems with speech(cluttering and stuttering) as well as auditory processing problems(needed things repeated) like me too. It's like I inherited both Dyslexia and Dyspraxia from him. My mom even told me that she thought of my father when I had speech and hearing tested when I was 4 because of my speech problems, and I was diagnosed with auditory form of dyslexia(problems with auditory reversals, and people speaking too fast for me,easily overloaded by auditory input). As a neurodivergent,he had problems fitting in with society...especially as a black creole man born in Louisiana in 1941 and who lived in Los Angeles in his late teens. He eventually moved to San Francisco which was the perfect place for the type of person he is,and that's where he met my mother. I was born there.

from what my mom told me, even though he was almost 14 years older than my mother(she first met him when she was 15 1/2), he seemed more immature than her.

His Pisces Moon and stationary Neptune seemed to dominate all his Capricorn and other Earth planets in regards to his personality.

I obtained his birth certificate, but no time on it
