Hey there, guys! This might be a little(okay...maybe more than a little) long, but I'd really appreciate it if you guys would hear me out!Does anybody know what in a chart would cause a person to attract much older people in a romantic relationship even if it's not sought after? I guess I'll give a little background- first of all, I'm a young college student that isn't interested in the kinds of things that many people my age are...namely: drinking, parties, experimenting with drugs, etc. Rather, I've always been the type who would probably prefer a night in reading a book or listening to music instead of a wild night out  Yeah I know, I'm a cappy.... Anyhow, I've always felt it hard to relate mentally to people my own age...it happens, but not frequently. What I really don't get though is why I consistently tend to attract much older men romantically instead of guys my age. Usually, I'll like the intellectual connection I have going with these older men but feel uncomfortable with them simply because I feel like I'm relating to an authority figure instead of a peer. Then I usually feel bad because I'll be compatible with the said individual in so many other ways, but just can't get over the age difference.... SO...I was wondering if there is some karmic/astrological reason behind why this happens so often. I have:
Sun/Mercury/Neptune in Capricorn
Moon/Venus conjunct in Aquarius
Mars/Pluto/Ascendant in Scorpio
AND most importantly I think:
Saturn conjunct Eros in Sagittarius opposite Chiron in Gemini...the opposition squares the nodal axis in Pisces/Virgo (maybe this is where karmic stuff comes in) I WOULD post my chart, but I always mess up...so maybe someone could help me possibly? How much is much older? I'm actually wondering because I seem to attract (or maybe it's be attracted to) older men too. When I was 18 I met my 24 year old husband (so 6 years) and since my ex and I have split up I've dated 3 men all of whom were 7 years older than me. I know at my age (38) that seven years is really nothing but it's been puzzling me as to why I always seem to be attracted to the exact same age.My bd is March 13, 1970...2AM PST IP: Logged |

Haha, I think you may be right, Lara and Plutonian Persona, in that it might just be all the Capricorn going on.  flyin_free_70- it's interesting that you mention that. I had a look at your chart really quick, and if I'm not incorrect, you have a Cappy rising with the ruler, Saturn, conjunct Mars (which rules males/masculinity). What's more is that it forms a sextile to Juno in your chart. AND Mars happens to be the depositor of your Venus in Aries! So I guess it all goes back to Cappy/Saturn again.... When I say much older, I mean 10 years+, sometimes a lot more than that even! Anyone else here have Saturn/Eros? Like I said before, I think the opposition between that conjunction and Chiron might have something to do with it...especially since the nodes are involved too. Add in the Moon/Venus in Aqua and Uranus, and you get a really interesting picture I guess.... Thoughts? I am SO puzzled about this. I'm starting to wonder, am I just destined to have a really out-there marriage (if I ever decide to go for that)/relationship?! The Aqua side of me probably wouldn't mind, but the Cappy side might! I haven't seen flyin_free's chart, but I find that I go either for guys who are within six months (preferably on the older side) of my age, or 8 years older. Why? Because the guys my age set off my natal Saturn placements, and people 8 years older mean that their Saturn is conjunct my sun. It's all about the karmic ass-kicking that happens to me by people of those ages. I'd guess that's your situation?IP: Logged |

Perhaps it's the Uranian influence in your chart rebelling

Your quote is telling you something about a void somewhere in your psyche, that Capricorn old head on young shoulders seems to ring true here.

Same thing here! I've also got Saturn in the 1st hs and attract older men, but would go for guys my age  ------------------

I also think this could be due to your Saturn in the 1st - maybe you are more mature( I belive you are ) or at least you may leave such an impression.Well, my " problem " is quite the opposite -somehow I seem to attract much younger men ( 4 -7 years younger),mostly those who are immature and / or freedomloving ( basically, just like me lol )Maybe , it's because of a prominent Uranus in my chart. Hi again!
I'm back...busy week. Thanks for all of your replies so far! I came across a site that discusses Eros in connection to the outer planets and nodes, which helped some. I think it was on Kim Falconer's site. If I find the link again, I'll try to let you guys know what it is if you're interested. Basically, I guess the nodes thing means that I have an erotic conflict, lol, connecting my karmic past to my future, and that involves opening old wounds(Chiron), and concerns the energies of Saturn and Uranus together....rebelling through the energies of Saturn? I'm not really sure. One thing it did say on the link I looked at though was that some Uranus/Eros people decide to pursue knowledge and academia above what most people find erotic...this is true for me to some extent...AND the conjunction is in Saggy BUT, I have a Saturn/Uranus/Eros TRIPLE conjunction on my Venus/Mars midpoint!!! Anyone have any of these placements and wannna share? I'm just curious as to how these have manifested themselves for different people. All of the Scorpio intensity in my chart doesn't help either....going through a Pluto transit of Sun/Mercury right now too...with progressed Moon in Scorpio. It's magnifying the natal chart placements for sure.... I guess I come off as quietly intimidating? I usually hear this from guys my age and not so much the older ones. The funny thing is, I'm usually pretty quiet unless I have a good point to make in class or we have a group discussion or something! I dunno...hmmm... IP: Logged |
