I've wondered this, and I'm sure others can contribute on this subject. I feel that I'm drawn to Virgo mooners, and its the opposite of my moon- Pisces. I wonder if the opposition of moons are supposed to learn from each other? I tend to relate well with water moons, but sometimes I feel too comfortable, and Virgo moon keeps me on the edge and helps stablize my emotional nature. ------------------ Sun - Leo Moon - Pisces Ascendant - Sagittarius IP: Logged |

I cannot answer you on this but it is a very interesting question, I wanted to add another question for everyone else because it is relevant if you dont mind.Does the opposition of a moon with their sun siugn play any role? Example: I am a Scorpio moon and her sun sign is Taurus, does this matter in any way?

Hmm, my Capricorn friend is a Taurus Moon and I am a Cancer Sun/Scorpio Moon. I find that she balances me out in the short run, but she and I really conflict when it comes to long term views. For example, she's not the type to physically move anywhere unless it were life or death whereas I tend to impulsively do whatever I feel like doing at the moment, lol. She does have a very down to earth chart, while I have a ton of mercurial/mutable action going on. She keeps me grounded while I keep her moving, or at least I try. There are moments where I feel she's too stuck up at times and not at all willing to try anything new and she lectures me quite often about not having a solid life and always moving about all the time. She has 7th house moon and I have 1st house moon, which really adds tension sometimes. She calls me "fickle" a lot because lovers tend to come and go in my life, but I always tell her that she's far too focused on her relationship with her girlfriend. Whenever she and her get into any sort of fight, her entire world crumbles down. School doesn't matter, she doesn't eat, she doesn't leave the apartment. Then again, when things are good between them I can't help but feel envious of her girlfriend because she treats her like gold. Eh. Sometimes I find her frustrating at times, but I love her all the same. IP: Logged |

I consider oppositions often good, because the planets are at the different ends of the SAME axis. One astrologer said that with an opposition in synastry, the only direction to go is come closer, because you cannot go any further into the other direction. It calls for a lot of understanding and compromise but it is very possible to reach that, if you both want it enough, if you both respect the difference and want to learn. There is a natural "pull". I actually feel that there are only six signs, each of them a pair (Aries-Libra, Taurus-Scorpio etc.). This is, of course, taking it too far, but you get my point, I hope. When I see "Aqua", I immediately think of Leo, etc. In my natal chart I am Virgo Sun, Libra Moon & Leo Mercury and I have a most intriguing and nice friendship with a Pisces Sun, Aries Moon & Aquarius Mercury :-)

MoonPixie,I had that double opposition combo with a former friend. When we weren't fighting, things were really good between us. We were like twins. But when he fought, things got really bad between us. Eventually, things got so bad that we ended our friendship. The only thing I learned from this friendship was that I don't like clingy and moody people. IP: Logged |

In synastry sometimes opposite moons can be good For example, my moon is in libra where Mr DC's is in Aries, sometimes you get to see a whole other perspective on things , like someone says the only thing you can do is come closer as you cannot be any further away. Makes for good arguments too LOL IP: Logged | |
