Shy, timid, puritan (Yeah OK LMAO), nail biting, not romantic, organized (You should see my apartment), cold, calculated (I have to agree on that one), aloof (agree here too), worries a lot, emotionless, bla bla bla bla, I have to disagree, I dont know why Virgo's are always subject to this treatment and stereotyping. So let me shed some light incase anyone is wondering and give you a better picture. Shy and timid ... Yes but not when we get to know you and open up, you are in for a treat. Not romantic ... I left my entire family, life, friends, studies, at age 19 to follow a princess I fell for from the Middle East to America, she graduated 16 years ago and got married and I am still here, if that's not romantic I dont know what is. Puritan ... Hahaha get a life. Nail biting ... Only if there isn't a nail clipper in sight. Organized ... Only when I am sick of looking at the mess yet I am not a slob whatsoever. Cold ... It's a front, when I reveal the depth of my emotions and feelings others drop their jaws. Calculated ... Always, specially having a scopio moon Aloof ... Emotionless ... Gimme a break. I dont fit these descriptions and generalities, i read Linda's love signs, I am not like that either in love and I disagree with many things she said about Virgo's, I think people pick on us because they simply dont get us What do you guys think from your own experiences with virgo's? and lets not get off topic, I want to stick with Virgos. ummm, well weirdly enough, it's been virgo city for me this year! i think it's cuz my saturn is in virgo and it was my saturn return. what i found was..a LOT of helpfulness.. a lot of mental acuity. a really strong ability to keep focus and analyze detail.. sometimes to the point of exasperation for me (ie, one track mind, while i, as an aquarius, like to bounce around a lot and sometimes couldn't hold the line of thought, which would frustrate the virgo.. even though in my roundabout way i was still on topic, or trying to be! haha).. a very sharp criticalness, which i mean in both a positive and negative sense; a gift and persistence in putting things into perspective and an eagerness to help the way THEY saw fit, but a critical streak when i would disagree or want to do things my own way. i love virgos (my NN's there too!) so much, but have a bit of difficulty with it. i think it's cuz my saturn's there. i think it's really a sign of FOCUS and ORDER more than anything, and that can carry out in myriad ways.. I did not add that we are critical, nitpicky, sharp mental abilities, focus, acute analytical skills, I look at these things as positive traits IP: Logged |

This kind of talk gives Sun in Virgo people a bad name. If youre talking about Virgo ASC, that would be fine. But youre not. What is your ASC?

Oh man don't even get me started on the Virgo thing. The only halfway decent description of a Virgo woman I ever saw was written by Liz Greene: http://www.astro.com/cgi/aclch.cgi?btyp=syn&msyn=sg&act=text3&lang=e&cid=xmgfilecGVtm2-u1220898570&nhor=1&nho2=2&zod1=2&zod2=5&gnd1=f&gnd2=f In general, I am becoming increasingly aware that one of my missions in life is just to rewrite EVERYTHING Virgo. For *^%$'s sake...it's disgusting! I mean, we aren't boring...most Virgos I have met are twisted and weird and in the most interesting ways. Their minds are always working, but they are sensualists, they are also caretakers and acutely aware of everything around them. They are humble and yet sharp and bright and always ready with a comeback. As for sexuality...well. Most Virgos I know are kinky as hell. On top of that, for myself...I just don't relate to the Virgo cliche (but really, does anyone???) because my sun has no aspects to it, except to the Midheaven trine. I have a lot of 6th house stuff though...and I've found it makes me a caretaker on the most personal level. The 6th house is also sooooooo boring in astrology, it's like the Oh-Gee-I'm-Employed-and-That's-My-Biggest-Aspiration House. It's a personal house but it's also been so impersonal in translation. I mean, it rules, what exactly? All I hear is personal service and like, Listerine. Oh yes. Hand me that dental floss, honey. I will floss and perhaps, if you are lucky, I will strangle myself as well, because I am just a boooring Virgo. Boring! Totally boring! I cannot, I will not ever believe that the 6th house OR Virgo has been truly understood. That's because it's not a flashy sign or a flashy house, so it seems like it gets passed over...which is most unfortunate. And we have to SHARE a planet with Gemini, who is all glib and glittery. I mean, Taurus and Libra share Venus, but it's Venus...there's plenty of love to go around! We get Mercury and it feels shortchanged. And then they tried to give us Vulcan...oh yeah, thanks...Let's just alienate Virgos even more! Vulcan, like Spock. What is this thing called human emotion? I know nothing of it. It is odd and I am not amused. I think I shall retreat to my very gray room and listen to my collection of blank cassettes because I find them very soothing for my empty soul. Sorry...just had to get that outta my system ------------------ "The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do. " IP: Logged |

Yeah man!! What the hell is this "Of service" and " Helpful" stuff, I feel like a maid sometimes reading this lame stuff, I mean dont get me wrong, I like to help people, but people I care for and know, half the time I am like I really dont give a damn to begin with. I love Mercury, it makes me feel untouchable at times lol This Vulcan stuff I can't stand let me tell you hahahah!!!!!!! Like all Virgos have issues and once "Vulcan" is discovered you will see the light and straighten your issues out, puhhleaseeeeeee. IP: Logged |

haha, you guys are funny.well, i don't think either mercury or helpfulness are boring. i see astrology more in terms of oppositions balancing out, so to me, virgo is about the micro that reflects the macro. it is just so astute and thoughtful and can understand things so well. i think it's neat! and yeah, virgos are really sensual and earthy. virgo reminds me of leaves on a tree.. or, nature in general. or, more specifically, all of nature and how it relates to and differs from itself. and yeah virgos are hilarious and have a really sharp wit. it's all that astuteness. VirgOh, that part about the maid is funny. Just makes me think that there's GOT to be a place somewhere which probably has some kind of cleaning service called Virgo. In fact there is one. It's a carpet cleaning place. Here's what's in their ad: Things you can expect from Virgo: * State of the art cleaning process * Pick up and delivery of area rugs * Professional stain removal * Experienced oriental rug cleaning * Upholstered furniture and draperies AARRGGGHHHH!!!

Yeah I also disagree, I think Libra Venus is soooo sweet. In fact, it's very persuasive and where it should be in Venus. Plus, it's romantic and attentive, and very smooth I have the Venus Scorpio and it's not fun ...I go from all happy-go-lucky optimistic to obsessive and brooding and moody and wanting to plummet the depth of their souls It leaves an impact when they let me...but a lot of the time they're too weirded out ------------------ "The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do. I love it when Virgos claim to be nothing like their sign. We even got lists about it. You might like to read the thread, "annoying cliches about your sign". http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/018924.html Check out Unmoved, whom I love, with her witty observations, neatly ordered and in bold for emphasis.

Oh man, that was some good stuff. What's your Moon sign, MVM? Sorry to add to the stereotype , but there is something to the being clean description. My SO and I used to pay my Virgo brother to clean our house one day a month. He actually enjoyed it! When he was done, he'd look around with the same pride and love on his face as when he finishes a drawing or painting. It's like art to him. IP: Logged |

Jane, my moon's in Aries (it's probably obvious sometimes). As for your Virgo brother...wow. A really clean Virgo! I swear, most times they're semi-slobs (like me), probably running for the hills screaming so they wouldn't have to be associate with the cleaning thing ------------------ "The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do. I have yet to meet a non-sloppy, non-messy Virgo lol. I believed the term "organized mess" is what fits them though.I'm a Virgo asc. Furthermore [and off topic] if I hear another "astrologer" calling Capricorns boring and/or sexless, I will flip a sh** IP: Logged | |
