The last few weeks ive turned off MEAT

I stopped eating red meat completly and i cant even eat chicken and fish anymore.

Do you think this is due to a neptune transit to my moon?

The other day i went to cook a whole chicken but when i held it it looked like a real animal and i felt so disgusted i never ate it. I have loved chicken my whole life and i eat protein everyday but it just hit me that it was a poor animal and i felt sick.

Before when i ate i never really thought about the animals but now i think how mean is that? I felt like crying for the chicken LOL i know it sounds funny but im not enjoying my food lately...

Now i cant get these thoughts out of my head.

I dont like eating animals when seeing them alive, but they taste too good.
I might go vege one day, but need to find something that tastes as nice. Tried that tofu and meat substitute stuff, but it tastes rubbish.

Although, I did think eating fish (not that type) is fine for some reason. Maybe cause there are lots of them.

Diet is 6th house I think, Moon as ruler trine Neptune. 2nd house for food, Mars as ruler ssx Neptune.

When I have time, I will start a thread on Health and Healing about "Genotypes". There are six types that humanity can fit into. This can determine which diet suits your genetic make-up.

If you are feeling sorrow when eating food, try blessing it (or thanking it for its sacrifice to give you life).

From 15 to 20, I only ate seafood and veggies, "Pescetarian" life.

At 20 I began eating poultry again.

Now, at 25, I've began eating pig and cow products again.

A few months ago I picked up the fine art of barbeque, and I've been running with it. Nowadays, I love working with pork spare ribs (cheaper and better than pork "Baby Back Ribs" in my opinion). Lately I've been using a rub consisting of plenty of sea salt, plenty of coarse ground pepper, paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, a little dried parsley, a dash of ground chipotle (sub chili powder if necessary), and a dash of ground cinnamon. Searing well in a pan with a coating of canola oil, then slow-cooking in an oven at 225 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 to 4 hours in an uncovered casserole dish with a chicken bouillon stock with potatoes, onions, a couple garlic cloves, and a little rosemary or sage for fun, then flash grilling over hot coals with apple tree chips for about 10 to 15 minutes.

*Edit: Sorry, that had absolutely nothing to do with astrology, I must be hungry.

Kick It, don't eat tofu when it's trying to be meat because it fails miserably. Just eat vegetables (and tofu) when they're just trying to be themselves That's when they taste good.

For the past few months I've had Neptune trine Moon. I'm definitely more empathetic (and I feel a bit psychic) but I haven't really thought about animals.

PS - You've also gone through an emotional time recently. Seems like you're still affected. Keep on moving, even if it's slowly and keep up a good diet. Look after Number One!!!

Weird, I've been thinking and talking a lot about going vegetarian lately too. I never used to eat red meat, and only started it in the past couple of years. But I think I would feel better if I stopped eating it.

SW, I do a rub of brown sugar, black course pepper and red pepper. It's really good. I love BBQ. I stick the ribs in a baking pan and cover it with Tin foil for a few hours at 325. The ribs just fall apart. Now I'm hungry! LOL

I've never been vegetarian. But my friend and sister both suddenly stopped eating meat a few years ago. My friend still won't eat it and my sister started slowly adding things to her diet.

Oh, I rarely ever eat red meat. I can eat fish and poultry, but red meat not so frequently. I often flirted with the idea of going vegetarian myself which wouldn't be a huge problem since meat is not the most important part of the diet in my culture (rice is), but I'm not completely sure I could go without even chicken or fish.

I have moon trine neptune natally. *shrugs*

I've been vegetarian for over a year now.
I used to eat RED meat - LOTS and I liked it. I ate fish, poultry... Never even gave it a second thought.

It's strange though. Once you realise what you are eating - once it REALLY clicks in your mind, you can't do it again.

Now I read 'ribs' and think, dude! I have ribs myself. If someone cut me up and fried them with gravy and fries - I'm sure that might taste nice.

It's really not about the taste to me.

amwols - I concur!!! I hate these foods trying to be other foods and so I don't eat them either. I don't get the point of eating a fake beef patty. If you want to eat beef, eat beef! Why the restriction if you feel like eating it?

That's weird, cause i've been a bit repulsed by meat lately too. All I eat is carbs all day. For lunch, I just had pasta salad, a sourdough roll, 2 slices of whole wheat bread, and a large Halloween cookie in the shape of a pumpkin.

Are there any transits that signify over-eating and getting fat, cause I'm definitely going through that transit right now.

Oh no, I'm starting to feel the carb coma...I wanna go to sleep.

GemGemGem - lol re: carb coma

errr... Jupiter can expand your wasteline, BUT... I think this should happen if tJupiter is near Asc or at least Venus. Even so, it still might be a far stretch, but a theory nonetheless.

Oh man. I couldn't do it. I can't cut red meat out of my life. I hardly ever have it though.
But give me beef Carpaccio with shaved Parmesan and cracked black pepper. Give me steak tartar. Give me a beautiful, seared Portuguese cut of steak with a lovely, rich sauce Bearnaise. A luscious, deep, plum-dark Cabernet to wash it all down.

Life without this stuff would just not be any life worth living

steak tar tar/tartare?!

you are joking, right?! lol You could take a bite of a cow while it's grazing, if you like that stuff! - save for the cow's hide. That's the only thing what prevents cows from human attack... their hides.

I'm joking. That's extreme dining to me, that's all.

i haven't eaten meat in almost 12 years. it's corpses!.. i really don't get the allure..

eating primarily vegetables and grains and fruit brings about a change on an energetic level. it's less dense and gives you a sort of high that cannot be matched. who wants carcasses rotting in their gut? don't get it.. eek!

plus, they are *alive* (to begin with), have families, etc. how can i justify taking away their livelihood for a *meal*?

anyway, i realize this sounds pompous or preachy, but it's just my perspective. no judgement.

Unmoved, I know I'm terrible
I can be a huge snob at times with food...as well as a complete beast. I've gone to whole foods, bought a beautiful cut of sirloin, had it freshly ground, then...ate it raw on the drive home.
I know. It's extreme. But the taste of fresh, clean, good quality meat is like manna to me.

i think we should listen to our bodies. Every one is different. If you crave beef, eat beef, something in it your body needs. Seriously, I think your body tells you what it needs and in turn that is what you are hungry for.

Like when I am on my womanly cycle, I crave beef. At night I sometimes crave ice cream or milk or yougurt. listen to your body and you will be healthier.

Heartcakes, you know, it's been proven that plants respond when you talk and sing to them. They do feel pain.
Perhaps we should stop eating those too
Kidding!
Sorry, I just don't agree with the whole 'they're alive!' theory...*Everything* is alive. Everything dies or gets killed.
IMO, we are meant to enjoy what we eat and realize how blessed we are.
It's along the same lines of 'I love you so much I could eat you'.

Sorry if I sound pompous too...it's been waaay too long since I've had a really good meal and it's making me edgy
