If you can count, you can interpret a horoscope. All you have to do is find one planet that stands out by being the only one in a particular type of element, quality, or house type.
The late Marc Edmund Jones was the first to discover that a majority of planets on one half of a horoscope or one type of sign could tell you a lot about the person. He also noticed that a total lack of planets in any one area could mean something, and that having one planet on one side of the horoscope all by itself could channel all of the energy of the chart. I noticed, however, that he did not mention what effect, if any, a planet would have if it were the only planet in one type of sign or house. I looked at a couple of horoscopes, did some counting, and it worked.

If a planet happens to be the only one in an element, quality, or house type, that planet is a Singleton and it can funnel all of the “energy” of the horoscope. This planet is often the most important one in the horoscope. In other words, if you just interpret the position of this one planet by sign, house, and aspect, you will get to the “heart of the horoscope”. The effect is the same as if that planet were the only one on one side of the chart.

So how would one interpret the significance of a singleton for example I have Moon in the 4th house Capricorn. Is that a singleton? And how much emphasis should I place on that over the rest of my chart?

Honestly, I don't let my chart rule me in any way, I believe our current astrology information is off by a section, and that there are actually 13 signs..like there should be 13 months in a year, of 28 days a month, 364 days a year...
I've been posting about it, in the OOber Galaxy, topic, Twelfth Night Secrets...I think it starts on page 9...

Our chart is to be Mastered..our free wi11 determines the outcome, our actions have re-Actions, and our chart can only give us clues, as to what we are dealing with...

No other planets and these are the only aspects

Moon sextile Mercury orb -0°28'
Moon semi-square Saturn orb -1°17'
Moon trine Ascendant orb -7°35'd

The same situation apllies to my 10th house which is in Cancer with Jupiter and Midheaven. Aspects are:

Jupiter conjunction Midheaven orb +4°09'
Jupiter square Ascendant orb +3°26'
Venus opposite Jupiter orb -6°56'
Sun trine Jupiter orb +6°37'

Jupiter conjunction Midheaven orb +4°09'
Sun trine Midheaven orb +2°28'
Saturn trine Midheaven orb -5°24'
Neptune sesqui-quadrate Midheaven orb -0°57'
Pluto quintile Midheaven orb +0°32'
Uranus quintile Midheaven orb +1°02'

unfortunately, I have stayed away from astrology in this body temple..while I work..on a different wheel, that is made like a flower, with sections, that pair off..

But, I am sure some wonderful astrologers here on this board, could be more helpful to you, than I.
