What kind of books do you like to read? Or do you like to read at all? Please include sun, moon, rising sign, and mercury. I am a sucker for sci-fi and fantasy, but I will read almost anything. I also have a thing for novels about Asian culture. I'll read science and history books if I'm feeling like some non-fiction. I really just like to read in general. I'm a Virgo Sun, Leo Moon, Aquarius rising, Leo Mercury. I think the Virgo sun makes me want to soak up whatever knowledge I can. That's probably also due to my Leo placements wanting me to learn things so I can sound smart. I'm very much a visual learner. I blame the geeky sci-fi/fantasy fetish on my aqua rising

Battle of E, I tend to be a voracious reader, and my tastes run all over the place with books I have my fiction, which runs amok too...science fiction (I really dig on the old school like Ray Bradbury), fiction (White Oleander and Confederacy of Dunces are my two favorite books)... I have my nonfiction stuff - Alan Watts and Joseph Campbell...though I prefer listening to Alan Watts since he was an amazing speaker Then there's the humorous stuff like David Sedaris, which I can't do without. If I'm having a rotten day I make sure to read one of his essays and wind up laughing so hard, I forget everything else And I have a thing for graphic novels. I was really into the Sandman comics, and I love Alan Moore. The Watchmen was a favorite. I have Virgo sun and Taurus rising and Aries moon...Mercury Libra (conj Pluto...dunno if that effects my tastes)...I'm thinking the Mercury conj Pluto might make me an at times obsessive reader too, lol...because if I like something or a writer, I tend to A) Either read every single thing they've ever written OR B) Read and re-read it to death because certain phrases stick with me and effect me on a really weird, deep level. I prefer memoirs, biographies/autobiographies to novels. I've read every Carl Jung book I could find in the bookstore and I've enjoyed reading books on psychology and philosphy in the past. Linda's books, and even Edgar Cayce's. Right now, I am reading Shantaram, an autobiographical novel. I don't like Sci-fi at all and it's impossible for me to be hooked on books like harry potter/lord of the rings. I appreciate literature like anna karenina but i read a couple pages i can't go on. i find those books to be too wordy...but beautiful nonetheless. Oh, I like graphic novels and comic books too. *high fives* lol I just got done reading Out of Picture, which was a graphic novel in the form of a collection of short stories by employees of Blue Sky Productions. They do a lot of animation and films, but they did this on their free time and it was really neat. Ray Bradbury is one of my favorites, and so is Isaac Asimov. T_S- I don't think that I could just read autobiographies and memoirs, but I do find pshychology and philosophy interesting. Maybe it's the scorp in you trying to unwind human nature.

Ooooo... Books! They are my favorite things. I typically read psychological, philosophical, spiritual/paranormal/metaphysical, and autobiographical books. I actually don't read much fiction anymore, and the books I do read that are fiction typically have a spiritual bent to them or they are fantasy books. I love fantasy books. I also enjoy humorous books. I used to read classical literature and genuinely enjoyed it, but I find it hard to focus my attention on those types of books for any length of time anymore because I have so many other things going on in my life. Reading old English, Shakespeare, etc. is fun, but it really does take concentration to get the message. As I recall, one of my favorite books in high school was Dante's Inferno. Sun in Virgo in the 10th conjunct Venus in the 9th (might have something to do with why I like spiritual, uplifting books). Aries Moon in the 5th trining Jupiter/Uranus in Sadge in the 1st(humor much?) Scorpio Rising (psychology, philosophy, and possibly fantasy?) Mercury in Virgo in the 10th (lover of books and literature: something well written and beautifully communicated) IP: Logged |

Well I read a lot when I'm not on here but in the last few weeks, I have seemed to have got addicted to this place. Classics for me, I don't like Sci-Fi or Gothic (unless it is Dracula). I like Satire - some of my favourite books are Candide, Gulliver's Travels, Diary of a Nobody and I like a great epic too - Les Mis, War and Peace and psychological novels - The Gambler, Crime and Punishment. I like Thomas Hardy a lot and the Bronte Sisters are great too (Jane Eyre, Agnes Grey). Otherwise, there are fantastic books of the modern era too - eg Steppenwolf, On the Road, Quiet American, some of Bond novels but there's also some badies like Zadie Smith. I'm not really a fan of biographies but I will read them if I like the subject person and I use it more for factual points rather than the story. I tend to find them poorly written. In fact, I need well written literature to read, I just can't get off a book otherwise. I also like good non-fiction too, for example Jared Diamond or Bill Bryson (more memoir I guess). Sun/Merc in Aqu opp Saturn and squ Ura. Mars in Gemini, Moon in Libra. Aries Rising. IP: Logged |

People magazine My life is so hectic, I fantasize about being able to sit down and read a book. The last book I read was a few weeks ago, I think it was called Nicolas Flemel the Alchemist or somthing like that. I have a library in my house. I actually had no books to fill it up so I got all the reject books from our library to fill in the shelves. Ok, so now I will confess one more thing. Not only did I take all the reject library books BUT I only took the ones that matched my decor...... I am pisces sun and moon, rising taurus, mercury aries IP: Logged |

I like easy, light reads. I don't have time to get engrossed in books, so the quicker for me it is to get into it, the more likely I'll finish it.Right now I'm reading World War Z. My favorite books of all time are Angela's Ashes and Middlesex. Aquarius Sun (9th house), Libra Moon (5th), Gemini Rising (Mercury in 9th house) IP: Logged |

I love to read an entire book in one night, but don't often get to do that anymore.
