I want to ask this just generally based on your own chart overall and your personal experience. How do you know when you are really in love truly? How long does it take you to know? Do you have to feel "in love" 100% of the time to know you love the person, or can it come and go? How do you normally feel when you are in love?I was going to ask this about venus signs but I'm really interested in the whole chart, though especially sun and venus signs. Thanks ! IP: Logged |

i think usually theres immediate attraction and you cant stop thinking about that person or they make you smile even when theyre not with you and when your thinking about them.You feel a kind of exciting feeling and then it just sucks you in and then your vulnerable and then GAME OVER ur in love! LOL :P ------------------

When you want to marry them and want to be with them the rest of your life. There is an intuition there that is important. I've experienced the intuition only three times in my life and the desire to continue further once. The intuition has been there before I met them, just saw them. Where this intuition comes from, I don't know. I'm Aqu Sun and Nep in 8th - it's that I think. IP: Logged |

This is really interesting replies and interest me bc I am wondering if I am in love, I have the intuition you mentioned, but noticed that I felt stressed and not as enthusiastic towards the person today then I found out oddly enough something (minorly) bad happened to them yesterday (they are fine tho) and I was like hmmm I wonder if I picked up on that or something. But overall I've been feeling what everyone said. Exciting I guess.I have Libra sun Leo moon so I've always been really romantic and thought I was in love but when I compare to now I feel as if all the old ones were so "conditional" or based on things in common and "we communicate well" and such, whereas how I've felt now is beyond all that and impossible to say in words. It fits what has been said here except that I felt it wasn't totally the same this morning but I was stressed and then it came back. Always listen to your intuition, if you are getting a sensation or feeling or a thought that this person is very special to me and will be important to me, then go with it. IP: Logged |

Oh god. I fall in love at the drop of a hat. LOL. It's torture, I tell ya. The through-the-heart feeling that builds and builds into full-blown love is rare for me, because it takes time, but it's very hard for me to tell sometimes...Sun 5th house Virgo, Moon Aries, Scorpio Venus, Scorpio 7th house with Neptune sitting at the edge of it (yeah, that makes things foggy)...I tend to idealize and become consumed and also very obsessive yet also restrained, which is no easy task. Currently I am really in love (through-the-heart type of love, extremely deep for me), and I know it's going to not work. We've been friends for a while and started seeing each other intimately recently, but I am leaving the country. Even if I wasn't though, I know it wouldn't work. I just don't think he's ready emotionally, and I think he's got a conflict of ideals of what he wants in a person. And I really need to get on with my life. How I know it's love is that I am not angry with him, and I truly want him to find someone he can be with in the long term. I know it's love because he's still my friend, and the bond is strong. I know it's love because despite everything, I accept him for who he is and accept that we cannot be together, but that he's a wonderful person and I am simply honored to have met him and have him in my life. It's unconditional, I think, and that is how I know it's real. Just the irony of having to let go the idea of a committed love relationship is the part that saddens me  IP: Logged |

Libra,Interesting question. I can honestly say that I have no idea how you know if your really in love. Obviously I've said I've loved someone before..actually more than one person in my life..and at the time, I truly meant it from the bottom of my heart, or else I wouldnt have said it (total honesty is one of my curses/blessings..I guess its all the scorp and saggy in me)..But, when I look back at those relationships, I really don't know now in retrospect if it really was love. Even with my ex of 6 years, I just don't know if thats what love is really all about.
My parents got engaged after only 3 weeks of knowing eachother..so I guess they understood that they loved eachother right away..And, they have been together for 35 years, yet at the same time, its hardly the most perfect marriage. But, then again..what is love? It can't be perfect all the time..and love has its ups and downs and trials especially in such a stressful everyday life.
So I guess the answer to your question and long story short is, I don't know when I'm in love or if I have ever been, I guess I'll only know when I find that person who I want (but really want and need) to be with for the rest of my life and always continue to feel that way.
Oh, and I'm sun conjunct venus in Scorpio. IP: Logged |

Good question and answers. like belgz said it when you reach GAME OVER! Also, like 23 said. Gosh. I agree with 23 a lot. For me, it's when a person makes marriage and having his babies seem like a fun thing to do because normally, marriage and babies scare the living daylights out of me. It's like going insane and knowing that your perspective on life will never be the same again. It's my all-time biggest and most irrational fear because the whole thing makes me act irrational. I like change so marriage and children are awfully permanent but that's a flawed view from me. It's something I know instantly and then I spend years trying to deny it until GAME OVER! It hits you and you realize that you're ****** in a good way. To me it's like losing and liking it. And as you said, everything before it seems superficial because when you're in love, there's no logical reason why you love that person. Simply because they exist, seems to be a good enough reason. They could be nice and kind but even if they weren't, I doubt it would matter. Very illogical. cancer moon conj MC.

Hmmm... I don't know it's hard to balance up the pros and cons with rationalism and emotionalism. How does one weigh romantic love with practicalism, spiritualism and materialism incorporation with nationalism? Just looking at Sun and Venus in ones chart with the sun high on the cusp of libra and scorpio - depending on the intent - one can role play with polarities. On the other hand, without ideals how can one decide on intent? With Venus in Tarus with raw passion can one mount sun sign? Or is it the other way around? Or is it a combintation of both? If is is a combination of both to what degree is intent and ideal a factor? If it is a factor how is that known? If unknown can ones natal chart predict the pattern of sciencfic knowledge for an answer to the unknown related to romantic love?

I dont know if I ever fall in love despite many relationships.
sun,venus,mars and uranus conjunct in libra.moon in saggie sextile all.but stellium squred by cancer saturn.
I have problems with trusting someone completely.
There is no love without trusting.Or maybe love is I mean falling in love is all this uncertain feelings and unknown future.I cant even define it.Hard for me to commit either: venus-mars-uranus conjunction...
I care everyone I am with,Im a warm person but I want attention all the time.I guess it is leo asc.
I have confused feelings about sex also.

I have sun scorpio in 5th , and libra venus in 4th. So far there has been just one person, this ex from 6 years back that I couldn't quite get over I bumped into him recently, and it shocked me to find out that I still feel like he is special, like he is some key element in my life, and I know he doesn't love me anymore etc, but I feel like he knows what he means to me, and he can read my mind- I feel more understood than I would want to be in his presence. It's like my ego doesn't exist- which hasn't happened with anyone else so far. Maybe it's not love. Because it's more about the fact that as a person, he had a huge effect on me, he is no longer a present audience but he is still shaping me and my life without being aware of it. To summarize it, I admire his optimism and well,him, and if I had just one wish lol  No it's just that he is like a teacher, and I want to see him again, in this life, or in afterlife if it exists, I want to share with him what I did and look into his eyes and feel completely and utterly understood. See I talk a lot, but rarely get the reactions I want from people although I can sense their love etc. Wow. I should build a temple for him lol

great topic. and some really interesting answers....when i'm in love i generally know pretty much immediately - of course the fact that my name is written in BIG letters across their forehead might be a clue too!! just joking, but that certainty is always there. after the beginning, and sometimes during the beginning stages, getting to know them, getting close, etc, what defines it for me most is that i am just glad they are here in this world whether i ever see them again or not! and that exquisite feeling i get when thinking of them, visualizing or remembering something they did...and of course BEING with them. and no matter how good or nasty the end is - and so far there has always been one! - i am STILL glad they're here on this plane! i am friends with most of my exes, tho it usually takes a period of readjustment to make the friendship work.(and no they do not number in the thousands, kind of sounds like it doesn't it??) I second that My Virgo Mask. Shaking and vomiting, inability to eat. Totally physical. And I know when I'm not in love anymore, my body tells me before my mind catches up. Almost total frigidity/body shut down which has taken me by surprise. IP: Logged |

Venus mars, I also agree about confusing love and sex and fear of commitment. I have the conjunction too, and they square uranus and jupiter, which are on my ascendant. I have alway found this in the past. But not now. That is why I believe love is more than a chart.

I agree with 23 and MyVirgoMask!I fall in love so easily and in turn, hurt easily too.
But with me it's very instant. The first look at "him" for the first time.. there's an instant connection.
Then I try to pin my feet to the ground until I find out more about him. It's one thing to be instantly attracted, but another to find out mr perfect is an a$$hole! LOL!
Or even worse, once you love everything about him to find out he can't return your feelings...now THAT hurts like hell.
But trust me, you'll know when it's true love. Words can't begin to describe the total elation you feel. But I don't know about how you see it in a chart... I'd be interested because I had a psychic tell me that I'd be in a romantic relationship this next summer....hhhmmmmm lol! ------------------
