I have always thought that my sister had a Sagittarius ascendant, she has all the physical characteristics of that rising, her "outer" personality too, but now I found that her Ascendant is 28 degrees Scorpio.. She has only one planet; Neptune in Sag..I read somewhere that the most masculine sign would have a greater "pull" in cases like this.. What is your opinion? IP: Logged |

In my opinion, I believe that Cardinal/Angular, Fixed/Succedent, and Mutable/Cadent properties can have varying amounts of "Pull", but not Masculine/Feminine properties. I see Positive/Negative as just being different *types* of pull; yin and yang.IP: Logged |

She has the Ascendant at 28,20 degrees Scorpio, and Neptune is 6,56 degrees Sag.. She is tall, athletic, looks very healthy, beautiful, dark blonde/ light brown -a bit curly hair, green eyes. She used to be a bit shy when she was younger, but not anymore.IP: Logged |

So Neptune makes an out-of-sign conjunction to her ascendant. Planets in the 1st house can significantly effect appearance. Neptune is Sag's sub-ruler, so when you don't see her Scorpio side, much of what you actually see in her outward expression is likely a result of Neptunian influence in it's wholly Saggie light.IP: Logged |

Progressed Sag rising. Where is her Jupiter? Where is her Pluto?IP: Logged |

Secondly, when considering how fast the Asc moves through the signs, since her Asc closely conjuncts her Sagittarius cusp, much of her outward expression could appear Sagittarian.Which then makes me want to ask, is Sagittarius "intercepted" in her first house? That is, does the *entire* sign of Sag fall between her 1st and 2nd house cusps? IP: Logged |

If her ASC natally is at that degree, she would Libra dwad --> Libran facial expression, symmetry, full lips etc. IP: Logged |

Her 2. House cusp is in early Capricorn. She is a Leo, Cancer Venus, Libra Pluto. Her Ascendant doesn´t form any close aspects, except the wide Neptune conjunction. She has Jupiter in Pisces. I was just puzzled by the not so appearent Scorpio rising! (By the way.. English is my second language, so just laugh and look another way if I write something funny:P) IP: Logged |

So, there's another good possibility for her Saggie vibe: Sagittarius has been intercepted in the 1st house.Oh, so she is a Leo Sun? The fire of Leo shares an affinity with Sagittarius and the true nature of the Leo Sun could be shining through in spite of a Scorpio Asc. I'm the opposite of your friend: a Scorpio Sun with Leo Ascendant, and though my Sun and Asc are not in an orbed square, the natural square by Sign often makes me appear very unlike my ascendant.
