Squares are not the best.Strange because personality and looks go under house 1. But I guess that should mean if you find someone has a good personality, you should find them attractive and vice versa. Not always the case. IP: Logged |

Aries is the natural ruler of 1st house, so Mars conjunctions. I speak for myself though.I guess using that logic, Libra rising is not the most attractive...unless any decent aspects elsewhere. What planets are in the aspect? I dunno what aspect you are talking about, but you asked what aspects repel people. The answer is square. Most likely from the chart ruler (ASC ruler) IP: Logged |

So my chart has everything on one half of it. And on the half with nothing on it, the first house sits right in the middle of Saggi and Cappy...with nothing in it...is that bad? lol! ------------------ "Secrets and lies can sleep from the walls of Rome if we sit hard enough on them. OK let me re-phrase are there any planetary aspects eg Moon Conj Chiron, that make people unattractive to others.BTW, I have no idea if Moon Conj Chiron makes someone unattractive, I'm using it as example. Kick it, do you think someone with Venus square Ascendant would be viewed as unattractive? IP: Logged |

Pluto conjunct ASC...I have this within a 1 degree orb. I know I am attractive BUT if I don't take care of myself I am downright ugly. Also, this aspect makes one seem intimidating, weird, maybe awkward and reserved...I was like this until I learned how to project my better qualities and grew into my looks. I know a guy with Pluto conj. his ASC and while I find him wildly attractive he is not what is considered hot or handsome..though he is generallly thought of as "cute", but again..awkward, and with a strange intensity that is not necessarily comforting with most people. ------------------ Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon Mercury:: Sagittarius Venus::Scorpio Mars::Pisces IP: Logged |

I think it's in the person's mood. A genuine smile and happy aura can neutralize any form of aesthetic challenge (politically correct! ).IP: Logged |

lol, AGLibra Rising is considered one of the more attractive ASC actually. http://www.cafeastrology.com/libra_ascendantrisingsign.html Attraction is all a matter of perception, really. One person may find a Capricorn rising attractive while someone else may find them not so attractive. IP: Logged |

Hard aspects between Sun/Moon/chart ruler/ASC and Saturn (restrict, dour, serious) and/or Uranus (unpredictable and on edge, tense). Or Pluto - more of a fear/forbidding thing.

Hey, does anybody know about Uranus conjunct ASC ? Which effect does it have on appearence? I have this one and I have to say , I do look strange Not ugly ( at least, not always ugly lol ), but I have strange eye color ( a mix of yellow and olive green ) and one could say that I stand up in a crowd. Seriously, I look odd! lolIP: Logged |

yellowmoonA story for you about Uranus on the Ascendant. In my youth, I had a gentleman admirer with this aspect. He had razor green eyes and heavily tattooed arms (including his name on his knuckles). I took him home to meet my parents, but this attempt to annoy them backfired because they liked him, they said he was a "nice, polite lad". My mother said he was too good for me. He did have nice manners. Libra Rising, Libra Sun. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure if I agree with you on this 23 as I find myself attractive (and some people even put me on a pedestal ), and I have:Sun Square Moon/Pluto conjunction Saturn in the 1st opposite Mercury (chart ruler) and Venus IP: Logged |

Blue Moon, that's a hell of a story...Libra rising does tend to impress, I've noticed.I have Mars conj ascendant, and my nose is kinda big LOL...But I tend to attract a lot of attention too. I have Taurus rising and Mars in Taurus in the first house...and Scorpio Venus oppose ascendant...don't know what that means as far as 'attractiveness'. I have been told I have a great smile though...and I have a lot of other aspects to my ascedant, trines from Saturn and BLM, and a square from Jupiter. I think the first house stuff effects looks more...but are we talking about looks here, or unattractive as far as vibe? I don't think a square Venus to ascendant makes someone unattractive at all. I've seen it on several people...they are attractive, but I have noticed their opinions of their own looks are not always so great...they are very hard on themselves as far as looks and it seems like how they feel about themselves from one day to the next effects their overall image. Make sense? IP: Logged |

I have a prominent Uranus in Scorpio opposing my ascendent and Chiron in Taurus in 1st closely conjunct ascendent. I REALLY stand out in a crowd, but I'm definately NOT attractive in the usual or classic way. The men that were/are the most attracted to me always say the like the way I look because it's unique, which I always find strange. People always ask about my heritage too.IP: Logged |

AG, I think you are right in that these aspects that I listed are not the be all and end all of the situation, that's the problem with what I did - it's very prescriptive. As we know, charts are a bit more complicated than that and it depends on other things in a chart (maybe particularly other planets and points that might be aspecting the aspects I suggested above). Anyway, a hard aspect between those planets that I mentioned does not necessarily mean a negative expression by the person. We know that squares can provide a lot of energy and a healthy "can do" attitude as well) which might be seen as highly inspirational or attractive to others. --- Ura conj ASC - two other examples are Kurt Cobain and George Best, both strongly identified with in the community, very universal and loved.

This is a very good topic. I think that someone who is attractive needs not just first house but other things like mercury and moon. Sometimes people are ugly but have such a good personality that they are indeed attractive as well. I dont think someone with good looks is attractive! My friend whos sun and moon gemini and aries rising with venus on ascendant is very attractive wen you first look at her. She has a sexual attractive look BUT when she talks shes loud and shes rude and i dont think thats attractive. Shes easy and very bored with life. Dont you think this would be an overall thing rather than just first house? ------------------ Sun.. Cancer Moon.. Gemini Mars.. Cancer Mercury.. Cancer Venus.. Leo Ascendant....... Belgz is right, there's a lot more to attractiveness that just appearance and when other things open up, they can be seen as less attractive. Example, David Beckham when he opens his mouth. IP: Logged |
