The black moon is the lunar apogee which means that it is the point of the moon's orbit furthest from the Earth.
The lunar perigree is the point of the moon's orbit closest to the earth.like the lunar North and South Nodes, the lunar perigree and apogee are exactly opposite each other, and so it can be seen as one axis
Being that it is based on the Moon's orbit, the black moon has everything to do with lunar traits like feelings, emotions, instincts, intuition, sensitivity as well as the feminine. but with it being the point of the distant orbit furthest from the Earth, it is more like the shadow side of the Moon to the point that it is relates to the occult and can be about supression, oppression, rejection, and so it can feel like a minority in a sense that it feels like it's not treated well, and so it fights for equality.
The black Moon is also known as Black Moon Lilith. It is associated with Lilith who was considered the wife of Adam before he met Eve. Lilith refused to lie under Adam because she wasn't one of those women that was going bow down before any man. She wanted to be Adam's equal which wasn't what Adam wanted. Adam wanted Lilith to do what she was told. Lilith pretty much told Adam "Go screw yourself...I am leaving! So she did. You could say that Lilith was the first feminist.
Lilith was portrayed as being demonic, and it was said that she came unto men and made them have wetdreams. She was depicted in the purest sense,a succubus.
Many feminists who are into mythological archetypes as well view Lilith as a powerful goddess. They didn't believe that Lilith deserved the reputation of as a demon. After all,is it really a crime to refuse to bow down to a man because you want to be treated equally to him? As a male feminist myself,I don't think so.
So if you consider that that it is based on the Moon's orbit, you can see that it has to do feelings, emotions, instincts, intuition, and sensitivity.......especially if you consider the the lunar perigree/apogee axis and not just view the latter part of the axis and refer to it as Black Moon
If you consider the Black Moon itself based on being the shadow side of the Moon, then you can see that it's about the occult, suppression, oppression, rejection.
If you consider it from the myth, you can see that it has to do with feminism as well as liberalism, independence, equality, rebellion
but also female passion,feminine power
The Imum Coeli is the 4th house cusp. 4th house is associated with the sign,Cancer. Both 4th house and Cancer are ruled by the Moon. 4th house has to do with the domestic environment as well as roots(karmic, domestic),and the personal unconscious.
so with that in mind
feminism, liberalism, equality matters(black moon) are merged with (conjunction) domestic environment, roots, personal unconscious
the Midheaven is the point exactly opposite the Imum Coeli. The Midheaven and Imum Coeli are a single axis.
The Midheaven is the 10th house cusp. 10th house is associated with the sign,Capricorn. Both 10th house and Capricorn are ruled by Saturn. 10th house has to do with the career, social status, ambitions, aim of life. It is the 10th house cusp.
so with that in mind
feminism, liberalism, equality matters(black moon) are at odds with (oppose) domestic environment, roots, personal unconscious (Imum Coeli
but if you consider the whole axis Lunar Perigree/Lunar Apogee and not just focus on part of the axis as Black Moon,
you can see that the Lunar Perigree is conjunct the Midheaven
so with that in mind
feelings, emotions, instincts, intuition, sensitivity(Lunar Perigree) merge with (conjunction) career, social status, ambitions, aim of life (Midheaven)
if you consider from the man's point of view, then you can view Black Moon Lilith having to do with demonic energy, succubi as well as all things occult including especially magic. Remember that occult and magic aren't necessarily evil. It's neutral, but it is often viewed as something evil from the Judae-Christian point of view.
from the psychological standpoint, you can say that it could be about the "inner demons" that you struggle with to the point that you can understand them in other people. It can provide you with profound insight into other's psyches. It would be especially strong with it conjunct the Imum Coeli which is the personal unconscious.
In my own chart:
True Black Moon in 5'42 Scorpio Retrograde in 2nd
conjunct Sun in 5'20 Scorpio in 2nd
trine Moon in 3'10 Pisces in 6th
aka
True Lunar Perigree/Apogee in 5'42 Taurus/Scorpio in 8th/2nd
oppose/conjunct Sun
sextile/trine Moon
I can strongly relate and personally experience the energy of the Black Moon as well as its associated archetype, Lilith.
