It should be your 11th house and the ruler of the 11th. But I don't think it shows the sun sign. It shows what they are like, in general. They might just have an influence in that sign.

My 11th is in Aries. The ruler is Mars in Capricorn. I mostly attract Gemini and Pisces friends, but they usually have some Aries or Cap (or both) - influence.

Leo 11th house... my closest friends have always had Leo somewhere in their chart... usually Leo Moon. Then again - my greatest enemies also have Leo Moon.

Wouldn't you also look at the 7th house as well? I've found many of my friends have Aries in their charts, although our friendships tend to be fleeting unless they have Leo somewhere as well. I know a busload of Aries Suns/Leo Mooners.

I'm attracted to fire, in general.

"…fire is beautiful
and we know that if we get
too close it will kill us
what does that matter
it is better to be happy
for a moment
and be burned up with beauty
than to live a long time
and be bored all the while…"
