What triggers one sign to act like the sign in oppsition?

I have noticed this in other people.
Cancers that act like Capricorns
Libras act like Aries and vice versa.

What causes this?
And has anyone else experienced it?

You can always act your opposite but you will tend to exhibit the negative qualities of the opposite, for example a Libran Sun can be quite confrontational and aggressive (negative Aries traits). The AC-DC axis is classic for that too.

Maybe you have a lot of 6th house placements and a transit is triggering it? Or maybe transits are triggering your 6th ruler.

I agree with 23. My opposite sign is Sagittarius and I can be really blunt. I feel awful afterwards when I've realized that I've hurt someone's feelings!

Rubi 001, do you have a lot of pisces in your chart? I've heard that when you have a lot of one sign you tend to act the opposite. I have a lot of cancer and in some ways I can have capricorn traits (very rational, logical and practical). I know a few virgos who are very sloppy and some pisces who are neat freaks. I think that's why twins can be so different, because one of them acts out the opposite sign.

interesting idea, my dc is aquarius (and im a leo sun & leo asc) i don't know the negative traits of aquarius so i couldnt say
