MyVirgoMask, yeah, that's about it..
serious potential for delusion in partnership (descendant)
and how you approach the world as a couple (ascendant).
It may not be worse than any other aspect, but,
I personally get very uneasy around difficult neptune aspects,
I guess because they make things so ambiguous and shifty.
I just prefer the devil I know to the devil I don't know.
At least with the other planets you know where you stand;
or, more aptly, where you agree and disagree.

And ooooh my goodness. I just found out today that he wants to look at our composite. I haven't said a thing about the chart. He's been hearing me babble about astrology for months and has been studying it a lot recently too. Tonight he asked for my birth info and when he sees this composite, I know he's gonna bolt LOL.

It's not a Composite from Hell.

It's a Grand Cross, although some of the orbs there are rather wide. It's an intense configuaration, suggestive that together you may have your fair share of problems, but that together you can see them through. That sounds good to me, not hell at all.

Soul Mates is an abused word on LL, but I can't avoid it here as it is a quote:

I tend to go along with this theory. Try it for yourself ~ see what you come up with on charts of friends, acquaintances, family, ex-partners, ex-lovers. With my sons, my husband, members of my family, close friends ~ strong patterns appear on composite and synastry. Acquaintances and random charts for experimentation are often more, well, random.

Interesting about the soul mate thing...I will say that I am not so sure about composites in general.
There's has been an uncanny connection between us, an odd, telepathic link, and I feel I have known him my entire life, and being with him feels like 'coming home' ... that's the only way I can describe it. I've left the country recently, and I swear it feels as though I've had some limb ripped away. It's extremely unpleasant and I can't shake off the feeling. We remain in contact and I'm just going with the 'flow' of it. Time will tell, I suppose. But I've never cared so deeply with all my heart for someone before, for their happiness in life, and it's so unconditional to feel, it almost hurts. I'm not allowing myself to daydream about it because it does hurt too much and feels wrong to do.

You know, save for a couple of aspects with friction, most of my relationships in the past have had the most smooth composites. My ex-husband and I had a beautiful composite with a grand trine (I forgot the planets, but they were a nice combo), and almost NO Saturn contact, except for one flowing aspect. It was the worst relationship of my life LOL.

Composites are an oddity. I've seen ones where I don't even get how the people stay together. Every time I think I've found some consistency to claim a theory, it gets blown to smithereens. Friends of mine who've been together for so many years have a composite that's got the most 'detached' vibe to it with planets in what I feel are 'impersonal' composite houses (the 3rd, 6th, 9th), yet are so emotionally close, I can't for the life of me make heads or tails of their composite.
