if you use progressed dob's and use them for synastry does that hold any weight. i see astro has progressed composite but i am trying to go another route. whadya think? i think there is another way to do it on astro but i cant remember it right now so i was trying this. in our synastry with our normal dob's says im the neptune with him being both sun and moon in opposition, and it just doesnt make sense to me so im trying progressed. im pretty straight up and not much for portraying fantasies to others. Progressed synastry is VERY valuable in timing events. To correctly progress a synastry chart, take the progressed chart of each individual and create a bi-wheel. Unfortunately I don't think astro.com provides this feature. IP: Logged |

*EDIT* - WTF? I didn't put the thumbs down in the response! Jeez....just wanted to say that, because I think this is an interesting subject!!!Odd. ________________________________ That is so far beyond anything I am capable of right now. Astro.com is the only tool I have with this stuff. I sure would like to be able to do this, but my patience tends to wear off easily these days!! IP: Logged |

Using astro.com , what should you put as the date when doing a progressed chart that you will compare to another person's progressed chart? Do you put in today's date or what?------------------ Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon Mercury:: Sagittarius Venus::Scorpio Mars::Pisces IP: Logged |

You can create progressed synastry charts and progressed aspect timing graphs at http://www.positiveastrology.com/synastry_app.asp (there's a small charge to keep the site running) or you can download a free program like astrowin (astrowin.org) which creates natal and progressed chartwheels so that you can do side-by-side analysis (you can create bi-wheels, but only for one person's natal and progressed charts so you would print out the bi-wheels and place them side by side). It's advisable to include natal as well as progressed charts and to use Quadwheels (or two biwheels) for progressed synastry where possible, programs such as Kepler, Winstar and Solar Fire have a synastry quad-wheel facility. To start with, use the date the relationship began (or the current date if no relationship exists), then track aspect changes (of Venus in particular) over time. It's always a good idea to check out the progressed and natal synastry of friends and family, or couples you know well. This will give you a benchmark for different types of synastric patterns that recur in different types of relationships that are familiar to you. That said, you should probably note major aspects which include progressed and natal Sun, Venus and Mars and the Descendants of all four charts. IP: Logged |
