A light thread  I just wondered what do you buy everytime you shop even though you have plenty at home?
Any planets in the 2nd house,which one or what sign is your 2nd if it's empty?
As a shopping freak I really am very indecisive to choose and say one.. Shoes?well yes but...
perfumes??very important,definitely yes but..
any food??no..
jewellery??who says no it is an investment afterall but you can't buy one everyday..
sexy underwears??YES..mine is this one...

i have mars in virgo, in the second house[leo] i love buying things, but i think my mars virgo makes me keep an eye on the spending, and what its on, i tend to be generous with money but also focused on what i want.right now i want a 40 - 46" hdtv lol, which is gonna be about a 1000 (which i guess is peanuts to the adult earners) but im 19 in college still with little income, but im on 500ish quid. ;D IP: Logged |

Pluto in the Second house. Can't get enough of buying food. Especially tinned tomatoes. I want enough food in the house to feed 17 people at short notice. Even though I live on my own. A product of not really having that situation in my house as a child, I think. Never hungry, but not sure who would come sweeping down and steal it from you (2 older sisters and a very hungry older step-brother). Never sure whether what you put in the fridge would be there 10 minutes later. And Mum not there to referee much.I eat so fast it's embarrassing. Food. Tinned tomatoes and beans. Anything tinned. Me and my ex (also Pluto in Second) used to have this fantasy of digging a secret bunker under the garden and filling it with food enough to survive a nuclear holocaust. We discussed strategies like what to do when the petrol ran out, what to do about water etc. Mad. I loved it. IP: Logged |

Empty second house here, the cusp is in Leo.If I don't bring home a new movie or book, or occasionally a new video game (I naturally don't buy that as often as a movie or a book) my whole trip feels empty. I can come home with lots of stuff I need, but without this item something is not right, heheh.. Grocery shopping feels lacking if I don't bring home something sweet ------------------

2nd House ruled by Pisces and Aries containing Chiron, Ceres, Eris, Cupido, Amor and Celestia.I can't resist buying: music (my Ipod has 11,957 songs on it) art supplies (for painting, making jewelry, collaging, etc. I also can't stop buying cameras and camera accessories such as lenses and filters for my photography) spiritual tools and alter items such as crystals, angel sculptures/statues (I have so many it's almost embarrassing), buddha sculptures/statues (same as the angels - I have so many buddhas it's out of control!), incense, prayer wheels, feng shui tools, etc. books (of all kinds; couldn't begin to count) dvds (my husband and I recently catalogued our collection and found that we own over 1200 dvds)

jupiter in 2nd. I used to be compulsive shopper, shoes, clothes, expensive things, now I am actually turning into a minimalist. very strange and yet I feel really good about it. I don't even like ATM's because I don't want to give the bank two bucks. taking a slower road responsibilty first, long range plans, that type of thing, really considering my purchases. It is a total turnaround from happy go lucky spending ways I used to have, now very structured...with debt free and financial freedom my goal. With time and patience and more time spent on creative pursuits, I am slowly getting there and just as happy as when I was a shopaholic, and I had a 100 dollar a day habbit ..hide my shopping bags, the whole thing. I think my saturn placements and my starting over from scratch so many times changed me. I have been very wealthy, and I have been homeless with nothing, 3 separate times! Enough to learn that things come and go and prosperity is a state of mind. like I said kinda wierd. I am not poor and yet, I live frugally now. I think even if I was rich beyond wildest dreams, I would still shop at aldi's and target, bring my own bags and not be a waster type consumer.My daughter has taken the reigns though, she buys every expensive thing under the sun, closet full of coach purses, ug boots in every color, total gratification shopaholic. Sun and Neptune conjunct in the 2nd. Sag on the cusp. Jupiter in the 10th cnj Mars. I'm a minimalist too. I feel weighed down by too many things. If I own more than I can easily list in my head, it's too much, by my standards. So that attitude prevents me from being a big shopper. I do have a lot of dvd's and books in the house, but they're my SO's. I prefer renting movies and using the library for books. I like to get rid of something after I've used it. Non-committal Sag on the cusp. Sure, I may have liked watching the movie, but that doesn't mean it has to become a permanent part of my life.  I also like the effort that goes into getting something when I want it, instead of easily grabbing it off a shelf. This probably has a lot to do with my Venus in Cap--cheap and prefers delayed gratification. Make me work for it.  I think Neptune is what makes too much stuff feel heavy. Growing up, I moved often and got used to living light. I don't move often anymore, but I do like to periodically go through what I own and give away what I don't use often. There are some exceptions though. I own a lot of lingerie and coats/jackets. Definitely more than I need. Too bad that's not a socially acceptable outfit. If I do buy something, it's most often one of those. And I'm a sucker for soft t-shirts. I joked earlier that I'm cheap, but it's more my insanity about not wanting too many things. I spend money on activities. And I love setting up savings accounts for different things, like trips or parties or retirement. Instead of buying something, I get more of a thrill out of taking that money and depositing it one of those accounts. It's a sickness. IP: Logged |

*Doh* It just hit me, I couldn't really se the correleation between what I always bought and the second house.. My second house is ruled by the Sun, and my Sun is in Gemini.. *more doh*

2nd house cusp in Cancer, Moon in Libra in the 5th.I shop for fun. I generally buy clothes. I freaking LOVE clothes. But mores specifically, I always buy jeans. It stems from only having to work with 2 crappy pairs in middle school, a time in my life where I felt really badly about myself. So now I buy jeans whenever I can because I equate more jeans with feeling good about myself lol. Also I've noticed that I HATE IT when people touch my things. I can not stand it. IP: Logged |

Two planets in my 2nd: Saturn in Cap and Moon in AquaClothes I definitely buy a lot of. Fewer movies than I used to buy though.
I had to edit mine to add these:

Get this..I have a loaded 2nd house..my Sun, Moon, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus are all there. I hardly ever shop, I'm really stingy with my money when I AM shopping, and I rarely feel the need to buy the newest, biggest, best, etc.. I am much more fulfilled with immaterial gain, such as experiences, relationships, what i can sense, things like that. My 2nd house cusp is Sagittarius so this may explain why I don't care much for material wealth or 'things'. ------------------

Well i seem 2b buying loads of t shirts at the mo haven't worn a couple and sum i've even had 2 give my younger brother tht were still new jst hadn't worn em and now 2 small eek.. food is another Haha f not 4 myself then food 4 others and shoes i have more shoes than all my sisters together there's 4 of em *shame on me* Sagihairyars lol is n me second house with venus i think?
Ooh and i cant help myself when i walk n2 a shop and they sell mentos chew mints i'll buy some of those 2.

OK, gemini sun here with saturn in my second house......... I cannot get enough of makeup, especially blusher!!! And have quite a thing for lipsticks as well and neutral eyeshadows I always thought it was more my libra moon though? you know beauty and all that?
