Sounds spicy, doesn't it?

Anyway, if you have Venus square Pluto with someone, but it's an orb of 5-6 degrees, does it count?

I would not count that aspect because for synastry the orb is too wide. Personally I keep Pluto aspects in synastry down to 1 or 0 degrees. It takes Pluto a long time to move..

It probably won't be very strong. Remember, the Venus person will square everyone's Pluto that is around the same age as them.

hmmm..this might deviate from Pluto a bit ...but i'm wondering...because it was said that an orb of more thaan 1 deg in pluto aspect shudnt be taken too seriously...is this the same in natal charts? (I have this aspect...but very wide) Also...what are the slower moving planets that one shud consider too slow to coubt an orb of more than 1 deg? Saturn n moon conjunct at 8 deg or 9 deg...does this count?

FistOfLegend:
If pluto is in the 1st house or conjunct the Ascendant from either side, or if pluto rules the Asc. or sun then use the 5-6 degree orb.

CrabbyFish:
If a planet is in the first house...
If a planet is conjunct the Asc or Mc from either side...
If the planet rules the sun or Asc....
...then use a wider orb 5-8 degrees.
Also I always use more than 1 degree for orbs, I think most astrologers do or you won't find many connections in the chart.

For conjunctions and oppositions up to a 8 degree orb.
For Trines 5-6 orb.
For sextiles a 3 orb.
Quincuix a 1 degree orb.
And as I said the orb can be greater if the above mentioned factors are present.
Remember they are only guide lines and Astrologers don't always agree on the orb allowances.
