Hi, I made a thread a couple of weeks ago asking about whether having children was a possibility for me. Anyway, I just want to thank everyone who gave me their input, I really appreciate it. Well, now I have a question about Vedic Astrology and how it is usually interpreted. I made a thread about this same subject at the forums on astro.com and I got a response from a Vedic astrologer that said because of the lunar nodes and Saturn aspecting my natal Venus that I would not have a child. Now, reading that took away some hope that I may have had in regards to having a child someday. Here's a link to the thread, which includes my natal chart:http://forum.astro.com/cgi/forum.cgi?num=1227944876Sorry to bother anyone, but I was just wanted to know what were people's thoughts on Vedic astrology, because I really don't know much about it. What type of experiences did any of you have? I don't want to put too much stock into one sentence, but as I was reading it, it just seemed so definitive. Ugh, I hate being such a chronic worrier, lol. IP: Logged |

sorry to joke, but do you have a man to have kids? that's more important than a good aspect to venus. i see astrology as a multi-layered tool. if you want, u can use a chart interpretation to mean something on one level but if u dig deeper, the same chart can mean a lot more, even something contradictory. but for that, u need to reach it inside yourself. u need to evolve and let the energy represented in the chart transform u so it can then have a different meaning.do u see what i mean? ex: your chart can say you're interested in relationship and at the same time show some difficult aspect which make it difficult to have relationship. so what, you are doomed? and what about this need for relationship? is it not as real as the problematic aspects? everything is relevant, or it wouldn't be here. but by this, i mean that if u go deep and try to understand what is the cause to this difficult aspects, how they are expressed, and so on, if you work on the challenges basically, then you bring your chart to another level, where the need for relationship is not a problem anymore but become a reward that you expected in the first place. i talk about relationship but it's the same for kids. no one aspect to venus or saturn can prevent u from having some. but your chart shows some tendecies that are inherent in YOUR perception of life. if you can work out these difficult aspects, then you are free from them... they don't block you anymore. as for vedic astrology, what is upsetting is the interpretation. astrology is only about interpretation. don't let someone interpretation color yours. make your own interpretation. saturn will always be saturn. for me and for you, saturn is this big planet surrounded by rings. but from your perspective it can mean doom and from mine a teacher. He's right, of course. But I would go further and say: ignore that kind of fatalistic cr@p (not specifically Vedic Astrology, I mean the mode of thinking). At the least it will pee on your dreams just a little, just enough to ruin your day. At the worst it will set you on track for a self-fullfilling prophecy. IP: Logged |

I agree.Free will is the ultimate factor. You determine your future. Not the astrologer. that fatalistic crap really annoys me. It's very irresponsible and unethical too. Raymond

We've had several threads on Vedic before. It is almost dangerous to follow any vedic astrologer because the details and materials of Vedic are very very conflicting.Personally for me, Vedic has been full many flaws. I am a Gem Rising and Libra Sun Moon Venus in Vedic.. LOL.. Doesn't sound like me at all.. In terms of having Children, you might want to look into astrobiology... IP: Logged |

Vedic Astrologers have been scaring common Indians using Vedic Astrology for centuries. It is partly not their fault, there is just no systematic foundation for this branch of astrology. I mean, these guys do not believe in Uranus, Neptune and Pluto even. I have Saturn in 5th squaring Mars. As per Vedic Astrology, I would have no chance of producing kids. I did manage 2 babies in 2 years!Let me debunk that Vedic Chart using Mathematics, the nuke against ignorance. More than a 30 million women were born in a year in the last 30 years. As per the Vedic Rasi Chart, North Node can aspect Venus by being in atleast 3 of those squares. Hence as per this theory, 25% of the women would have to be infertile. Look around you, your family and friends and neighbours. Is every 4th woman struggling to have kids after years of trying? All you have to do is have unprotected intercourse the day or night three or four times starting 12 hours or so before the Transit Moon makes the exact same angle with the Sun as it did in the Natal Chart. Visualize being pregnant with a bouncy beautiful and healthy baby throughout the intercourse especially during times of climax, please ask your boyfriend to try and do the same just during climax. Continue holding the thought of the baby while you sleep and on waking up. This combination of occult visualization and AstroBiological timing is guaranteed to produce a baby. ------------------ http://www.tamsoft.co.in/articles.html

O.K, I'll try that one. LOL. Maybe the Holy Mother will send me a surprise for Christmas. I'll call it Sue, in honour of the hospital. IP: Logged | |
