I think Mercury, Moon, and Sun placements have to do with humor. Mercury how you deliver your humor, the Moon is how you take a joke (are you light hearted or easily offended?) and Sun is what you will naturally find funny.. these are just my guesses/opinions but for me they fit. I have a very Sagittarian sense of humor (my mercury and moon) but it is also very dry and sarcastic (sun in cap) Maybe people can reply to this thread telling which shows or movies they think are funny and then telling their placements they think indicate their humor? Examples of shows/movies I think are hilarious .. The Office Aqua Teen Hunger Force Anchorman Conan O Brien (very similar sense of humor to mine, i love this man!! ) Talledega Nights MXC Family Guy Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle A Christmas Story Christmas Vacation Spinal Tap ------------------ Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon Mercury:: Sagittarius Venus::Scorpio Mars::Pisces IP: Logged |

Moon/Mercury folks. I notice that a lot of people with hard Moon/Mercury aspects are very funny and kooky. IP: Logged |

I think humour is linked to strong jupiter aspects and to some extent also neptune. Maybe also uranus? One of my closest friends is the funniest and most creative person I know, he is an aqua with moon, mercury and venuas all conjunct in pisces. I think his mercury is also conjunct jupiter.I really like the dry quirkiness of the film 'The Princess Bride' or 'This is Spinal Tap' both with Christopher Guest who also wrote Spinal tap. Like my friend he is an aqua sun with mercury and venus in pisces. Moon is conjunct jupiter and opposite uranus. IP: Logged |

I think it has to do with jupiter or saggitarius placements. But I also think that cancers have a great sense of humour and are funny (I'm not saying it because I am one, but have known many others like this), although get offended easily. Since they are so sensitive they have a sense of humour that doesn't hurt others by making fun of them. They can be real goofballs. Saggitarians can also be goofballs and are the life of the party.IP: Logged |

I don't know if there's any real way to peg humor...but as other have pointed out, Jupiter is good...in aspect with Mercury, and throw in some Uranus, I think. Mercury in Aquarius people often have a great sense of humor, IMO. So does Mercury in Sagittarius. I LOVED Spinal Tap! Christopher Guest makes some hilarious movies. Waiting For Guffman and Best in Show are another two I don't get bored of. I love the old Simpsons episodes, when Conan O'Brien was doing some of the writing. Even the tasteless stuff is great, IMO, when it's done well: Idiocracy, Ron Burgundy, Nights, Zoolander (so bad, so terrible, it's good). For stand-up, I always dug on George Carlin, and I love Lewis Black (he's such a SPAZZ) My moon in Aries opposes Uranus...I don't know what this means about 'how I take humor or jokes', but the oddest, weirdest sh*t makes me laugh oftentimes, even when it's not *supposed* to be funny.
