Is there anything astrologically which may reveal a weird trend where a person tends to attract men who are much younger? I feel silly writing about this, and I wouldn't have thought much of it, but it's been a trend for the past 7 years now. I tend to often attract men who are much, much younger than myself (about 10-15 years younger) and on occasion they tend to come into my life in pairs. Two different personalities (vastly different), huge age difference.

I'm not complaining or anything ....but it's weirding me out slightly because I'm 35 years old, and since I've turned 28, it seems like a lot of the men I attract are getting younger! When I was 20, I did tend to attract men who were significantly older.

I don't have Saturn in my 7th or anything. Family and friends make comments, so it seems like it is noticeable. I don't have a specific desire for older or younger men, so this is a bit strange to me.

What do you think? Should I post up my chart? Would it help?

any Gemini, strong Mercury aspects or 3rd house activity in your chart? Could it be certain transits?

Hmm, my Mercury has A LOT of aspects, but I have no Gemini in my chart at all (I thought about that too) really. My 3rd house has Saturn in Cancer, and my 2nd house is on the Gemini cusp, but it's an empty house.

As for transits, I haven't seen one lasting this long to make a difference, though I will say the whole thing seemed to start during my Saturn Return.

Is your natal Saturn (or Mercury) retrograde? And where is your North Node?

No, the only thing that's retro in my chart is Neptune. My NN is in Capricorn in the 9th house.

Here's my chart:

I have Juno and Ceres in the 8th also.
Chiron in the 12th, Pallas in the 7th.
Is there some weird asteroid that can be part of this? I'm just at a loss here.

I have experienced the same thing.
Older men when I was young,
then much younger and younger men after age 30.
My chart is nothing like yours.

The ruler of your 7th house conjuncts Mercury, in a Mercurial house.

I think that happens a lot now. It really is a trend. FOr some reason they like older women that have thier stuff together. They find that more attractive than a giggle girl their own age.

To disagree with sunshine_lion, I think the whole "cougar" thing (older women with younger men) is more than just a trend.

But I believe sunshine_lion is right about the reasons why: Guys are genuinely tired of childish girls.

...and also, women are more empowered now than ever before, increasingly able to change long standing social views of what is expected of them.

Personally, I'm sick of the fleeting lifestyle of the girls I know in my age group (mid-20's). Most of the ones I meet just want to party.

Many want to twist as many guys around their finger as they can, which may be their own 20-something-year-old version of female empowerment, but it's disgusting.

Considering how many of my mid-20-year-old women friends still act like 16 year-olds, I think I'm being naive to assume that age is a sign of mental maturity.

Still, older women at least have a projection of maturity, so it lends itself to being desirable.

What happened while I was gone? VirgOh and Libralove with their usual antics

Izo, I guess having my 7th house conjunct Mercury MIGHT explain some of this.

Lexx - that Uranus in the 7th would savor some unconventional arrangements, no? And with Jupiter in there too...wouldn't it work out well? I don't know. It's funny though that you've had the same experience

@ Sunshine_lion & Scorpionic Web - I'm aware of the 'Cougar' trend (I've had an ex call me that on several occasions). I honestly don't know if it's a trend or not for me, but after 7 years, I do wonder.
I don't feel any more mature than I used to though, that's the thing. I don't have my stuff together at all. I love men, period. Whatever age . In some way, I tend to be grateful for the attention because it feels like these men nurture me in some way. They almost feel like they are preventing me from being bitter, and they seem so much more open and caring to me than a lot of men my age which I meet

When I was a lot younger I was extremely cold and closed off and attracted the much older types. Yet the older I've gotten, the more I want to laugh and have adventures with someone, but also want to nurture and take care of another while doing my own thing. Maybe I'm just seeming more 'open' or something. In a way I am a lot more open.

Like attracting like maybe....

When I hear younger men talking about women their age, I'm horrified. I try to sometimes see if I was that way at all when I was 20-something, but I think I was more aloof and shut off, though I was also vengeful and extremely bitter.

I'm looking at my 5th house sun, which has no major aspects. It seems like it might be part of the answer too...

I'm just into men
I don't know if I am any more or any less into them than years ago. I'm just curious about the pattern.

I think of it though and I do feel a lot of younger men seem more open and caring and just less judgmental overall to me. Maybe because I don't 'have it together' financially or whatever in that way, I don't seem to find a lot of men my age who see me as 'dependable' or whatever. I like to have adventures and I work for myself pretty much, and the income isn't 'stable' so maybe they see me as less stable somehow, regardless of my emotional consistency.
But the younger men who come to me are so much more open and interested in my life and don't judge me, aren't afraid to share their own dreams, or even confess their insecurities, and I find that hugely attractive.

So I don't really know. Maybe it's a generational thing too. Pluto in Scorpio generation conjuncts my Venus SO maybe it's like the whole generation of young men are all my soulmates LOL.

i can imagine older men being critical of financial means.

i know exactly how you feel because i liked some girl, but she was over concerned with money, she was so open about it too, she was saying how she wud just go for some one whos rich, she won't marry some one whos not rich.

and she is not even older than 20 yet.

that put me off her so much i didn't go ahead with taking it further than being as friendly as we were. lol

and yeh the generation thing is true, unfortunately, my pluto doesnt match urs, thats what probably screwed up my chances. but its ok, i got ur pluto with my venus. altho i prefer to be the pluto lOL!.

Oooh no, Libralove, Pluto is a slave to its obsessions, you don't want to be Pluto, trust me ...take it from someone who has their Venus in it and their 7th house cusp. It's not more in control, it just needs to act like it is because deep down it doesn't feel it has any

I know a lot of women who are into financial stability. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but you can't base a relationship on it alone. I walked away from that 'dream' with the perfect house and 2-car garage and superficially 'stable' providing husband because there was no longer anything substantial keeping us together besides some debt and silverware.
No fun, no adventure, no desire to expand and explore life, no connection...No Thanks. LOL.
Doesn't make it easier when people think you're crazy for giving up at a chance at 'security'. But it just felt like a lie, you know?

yeh, and i understand, i just thought it was very shallow of her, i thought her priorities were wrong.

you go for some one for love, not money, what does that make the person? i just thought "well, im not gonna pursue some one who puts the relationship between us under pressure based on how i perform financially in the future. its enough pressure performing in bed for woman". lol
(virgo marsy probably speaking for its self there)

anyway, i just thought, im only going in a relationship when the person likes and loves me for who i am, not my pocket. and i want to feel the same way vice versa.

MVM:
I think it's simple. The planet of young men is mars, which falls in your first opposite venus.
Could I borrow that for awhile?

Wait, I don't understand, goodgirl. How does the Mars opposition reveal younger men?

I'll loan it to you, sure (but only a loan!! LOL)
