Seveneieghtorange I used the Morgan Greer deck and I pulled 10 cards for you. This is a relationship spread that I use for current relationships but when I drew the cards I asked for answers for how the relationship was in the past.1. You-6 of Cups-You were in love with love, you loved this feeling and wanted to share your life completely with this person. There was a part of you that was very innocent, very naive. You loved unconditionally and may have been unaware of a secret, a truth, or an ulterior motive.
2. How you saw your partner- Death- You saw your BF going through a state of transformation. You saw the changes he was trying to make and you knew that these were changes that he needed to make at that time. This card is saying to me even though you saw the changes and knew they were necessary these changes were met by resistance You may have been afraid of what the future held for him or for you as a couple and attempted to stop him from making these changes.
3. How did you see your relationship ? - 9 of Wands - You looked upon this relationship as something to win, to overcome, to conquer. Does that statement make sense to you? it seems like you looked at this relationship as something you had to work at. This card is saying to me that you faced many challenges in this relationship but you felt you were strong enough to keep going. You had already overcome countless obstacles and even though you were facing more difficulties you felt you could pull this relationship through the hard times. You saw yourself as the stronger person in this relationship.
4. Strengths in the relationship- Queen of Swords - determination, a willingness to listen, to new ideas and to learn, honesty, being direct, wanting to get to the heart of the matter
5. Weaknesses-2 of Pentacles-There was an element of someone wanting too much control. Balance in the relationship was missing. There was not enough flexibility and there was a lack of confidence, not believing in yourself. Balance was a pressing issue, finding a way to juggle different needs without conflict.
6. Your Hopes - 5 of Pentacles - You had hoped that you would be able to overcome all the challenges that were taking place and move through them without causing harm to your relationship. You had hoped to overcome your feeling of being overextended and at a loss as to how to proceed at times. This card is saying to me there was a sense of lack in your life, something that you felt you needed very strongly. Your hope was that this relationship would fill that void.
7. Fears- 7 of wands - That you would have to eventually give in and move on. This card is saying to me that you faced some competition in this relationship. You fought for what you believed in and felt that you had already proved yourself This card is saying to me that at some point you felt you had to take a stand and once you did it changed the energy in the relationship. Your fear was is all of this conflict worth the struggle? In taking a stand for what I bereave in will I have the courage and perseverance to succeed? The choices you made in this relationship led you to a point where you needed to deal with the consequences of your choices and you feared that would not be an easy task.
8. Your task in the relationship - 8 of Swords - To see things as they really were, to face some very hard facts about your relationship and decide if you would be able to continue in this relationship and maintain your sense of self. Your task was to maintain your sense of freedom and power and stay true to yourself. To remain open and receptive and not be afraid to ask for help.
9. His task- 8 of Wands - To be more open and honest with you about all he wanted out of life at that time. To communicate to you in a kind and loving way how he felt about being in a relationship at this time in his life. This card is saying to me that your BF had a lot of creative energy and was going through a phase where he could have been very productive and successful. His task was to assure you that as he made decisions to move forward you would be included or to at least let you know where you stood. Things began to move very quickly for him. he was energized and filled with enthusiasm about all of the advancement that was about to take place in his life. All of his excitement about his career, traveling, or things he wanted to do should have been discussed or made clear to you.
10. This came out of it - King of Cups - a lack of sensitivity and a lot of emotional feelings weighed heavily in this relationship. Diplomacy was needed in expressing what each one of you expected from the other. Different points of view needed to be respected. There was detachment and difficulty in expressing your true feeling to each other. This card is saying to me that one of you at the time wanted to be in a deep intimate relationship but at the same time freedom to move about in the relationship was needed. One of you was frightened by the intensity of the relationship and the desires they felt. Sometimes relationships start and end quickly because it is just not the right time for the two people involved. The King of Cups in this position is saying give others freedom to grow and develop in their own way without asking anything in return. it is time to get in touch with your own feelings and become more involved with life, Your life.
