Hi Julia, In my research, with the Tarot, I believe it can best be described as, a Tool, to tap into your own subconcious mind, which some say is, all knowing. If your anything like me, my mind never stops.. there's so much activity going on in there, it's like Grand Central Station!!! That's where the Tarot can help. If you want to take control of your life, you must first take control of your thoughts. My recommendation is to buy a deck and conduct your own readings. I recommend, Jane Lyle's Deck, called The Lover's Tarot. It's perfect for beginner's because it comes with an excellent interpretation manual and it's Fun!!! However, this is a limited deck, it's main focus is for Love Relationships. If you are only using the interpretation manual, it allows asking only four questions, one question concerns, yourself, another your partner or current love interest, another your relationship and finally your future. This deck contains only the Major Arcana and deals only with the major issues at hand leaving out the Minor Arcana or lesser details also surrounding the issues. Decks are used for the same purpose but come in different formats. The key to doing any reading, is to still that noisy place upstairs and really focus in on the questions, one, at a time. I typically ask the deck, What is my current state of mind? And since I'm usually sure of what the answer is, this procedure helps to tell me if I'm focused enough to continue. i really liked the part when u said ..first control your thoughts.there are so many times when you know you are troubled about any odd thing and you should not go round and round in circles but sometimes you are not able to stop yourself until you see a glimmer to hold on to.personally i just sleep it off!!but could you suggest any other deck coz.love relationships are not my highest priority right now!!
