I've sorta been "lurking" these forums for a few days and reading all this stuff about Aquarius. I am your 100% stereotypical Aquarius, it's eery to read some posts because of how dead on and identical it is to me, my thoughts, my habits, etc.

I'm currently experiencing "quarter life crisis" of sorts. Perhaps its a nervous breakdown. I don't have any idea what I want to do with my life. Literally: NO IDEA. For years, I've been trying to figure it out... but I don't have any "passion". I'm currently a legal secretary in Manhattan, and I like it (mostly because I have so much down time that I can just sit on the computer for hours and research, read, look up any darn subject that crosses my mind)... but (not to toot my own horn or anything) I'm very intelligent, and eager to learn new things... I wish I could just focus it, because I feel like I'm disappointing my parents. They say "you'll figure it out, it takes time, you're still young". And I know I'm young, but I feel ancient! I want a career to 'prove' I'm not just another pretty face. I spent the year after college in a complete depression because of this... I drank myself silly and slept 18 hours a day... it's hard, because one day I'll wanna be a writer, the next I wanna work at a non profit, the next day I'm contemplating taking the GMATs and going to business school...

I majored in International Affairs, with minors in History and Economics. I'm very very good at doing research (not like scientific research experiments), and I can write fairly well. I'm fairly creative... and I enjoy "planning" - parties, vacations, gifts, etc. I'm very organized, neat and I like being in control. I do not like corporate america, I could never work for a big bank or the sort, regardless of the paycheck.

If anyone has any insight or similiar experiences... words of encouragement... anything, I'd appreciate it. My stress and anxiety level are at an all time high, which is discomforting becuase I'm normally very laid back and easy going...

What do you want to get from your work?

To be honest... I want to be constantly learning and doing different things. I hate the "same old, same old" type of jobs. I like working with people, mainly by helping them. I like seeing a "product" of my work. I can't tell you how many times I've been told to be a "personal shopper" because I like being behind the scenes and I love anything creative... but I don't think I could deal with the pretentious attitudes.

What do you want to give to your work?

I don't really know what I want to give to my work... I don't want a high powered career, and I don't want to give every second and all my energy to my job. Is that bad? I mean, I guess I sorta see a job as just a way to pay the bills, whereas I take a lot more away from my social interactions and relationships and personal reflections.
