I have heard a lot about chiron aspects to other planets being important in a synastry chart, but never seen anything about chiron conj chiron. Is this a Super aspect or does this not count?
I understand that chiron moves very slowly so people born in a space of a few years will have the above aspect but does it mean anything at all?
Thanks.

Hi BluesGuitarist,

A Chiron-Chiron conjunction means nothing unless one partner is 51 years older than the other, which is the length of time it takes for Chiron to complete it's cycle of the zodiac. If it's not a major Spring/Winter relationship like that or grandparent and grandchild, then it simply means that you are close in age, maybe born within the same 2 year period.

Thanks Geocosmic Valentine.
Is the Magi assumption that chiron aspects rule relationships valid? The western astrology world does not attribute a lot of importance to say a chiron-venus or chiron neptune trine.
Neptune is the dreamy planet and in some ways is blamed for rose coloured illusions about the partner.
so why does Magi say that chiron-neptune trine is a lifetime linkage?
thanks again.

I have no clue about the Magi's reasons for believing that Chiron has anything to do with romance or longevity within it. My deepest thought about Chiron conjunct Venus has to do with wounding as a part of the seduction process. The concept that you only hurt the ones you love might have some validity. Chiron is "the wounded healer" so I think it's a double edge sword. This person might bring out social pain within you or heal your social pain. Or heal your pain around romance or something like that.

I don't know how much I trust the Magi's research techniques based on their attitude that they are "the one and only best astrology system" and they love to emphasize that all other systems should be null and void because of it.

Sure, they just might be right, but if that attitude permeates their research then I don't believe that their research is pure. What possible truths did they automatically cast aside to come to their "pure" conclusions?

Hmm...I guess I have some strong opinions about them, huh?

As far as the Neptune trine Chiron, I couldn't really say. I know that in my practice, whenever I see Chiron conjunct any planet, the client can definitely confirm issues of wounding around the subject that is expressed by the planet or the house that the planet rules. I've also experienced results with clients around the Chiron ruling Virgo, so I sometimes include it in my consultations in that manner.

Thanks Geo,
Magi principles are over-simplistic in some ways and they treat Saturn as the villan of astrology. I have heard of horror stories of saturn transits but is Saturn alone responsible for misery? They say that if you work hard Saturn rewards you. How do you work hard to find the love of your life?
Is there any indicator in a transit chart that tells us that we may find love at this particular point in life?
